MIC Torino is a research center focused on innovative projects and solutions on embedded and smart devices connected to back-end systems based on cloud computing technology, to provide added-value services by means of a smart data management. Microsoft Innovation Center Torino (MIC) started the operations in June 2007, and in its process of growth it became part of Istituto Superiore Mario Boella

www.ismb.it in July 2010 extending its technology focuses that are today embedded systems and wearable, mobile applications and cloud computing. MIC Torino focuses in particular on innovative projects and solutions on embedded and smart devices connected to back-end systems based on cloud computing technology to provide added-value services by means of a smart data management. The overall MIC objective is to “foster innovation and growth in national and international software economies” and create a sound ecosystem around the Microsoft technologies partnering with industrial players.
