💻 eFTI: the next phase in the digitalisation of European transport.

📅 In December 2025, the European Commission will publish the detailed technical requirements for certified platforms and providers, a key milestone in implementing the eFTI (Electronic Freight Transport Information) Regulation.

From January 2026, Member States will be able to voluntarily accept transport data in digital format, ahead of full enforcement set for 9 July 2027.

💡 A concrete step forward towards a more digital, efficient and sustainable European logistics ecosystem.

🚨 From 15 December 2025, the new EUCDM 6.2 customs formats will come into force.

What’s the most significant change?
👉 The ability to manage customs data in English, a key step towards a more modern and interoperable European customs system.

These updates will simplify:
• the digitalisation of import declarations
• data standardisation across EU Member States
• cooperation with international operators

📊 The goal is to enhance transparency, traceability and the security of trade flows.

With the enforcement of the EU eFTI Regulation (Electronic Freight Transport Information), all EU authorities will be required to accept only standardised electronic transport data.
A landmark shift towards a more transparent, efficient, and sustainable Supply Chain.

📅 Key upcoming milestones:
🔹 December 2025 → publication of requirements for certified platforms and providers
🔹 January 2026 → start of the voluntary adoption phase for digital data
🔹 9 July 2027 → full implementation of the Regulation across all Member States
