New Sintered Bronze Bushing for the Thorens TD 124 Idler Wheel Carrier
Due to high demand, we have invested in professional tooling to manufacture this replacement part in series.
Crafted from sintered bronze in strict accordance with original specifications, this new bushing features an ultra-precise internal diameter tolerance of just +0.005 mm. This ensures a perfect fit with the pivot pin that supports the idler wheel assembly, allowing for smooth vertical movement.
Installation Note: Because this is a precision component, we recommend securing the bushing with a thread-locking compound (not included). This prevents any potential deformation of the bushing during installation into the chassis.
Why replace your original bushing?
The original Thorens bushing found in the TD 124 chassis is almost always worn, typically exhibiting tolerances in the range of +0.05 to +0.08 mm. This wear causes the idler wheel to tilt toward the stepped pulley, resulting in a misalignment of the rotation planes between the stepped pulley, idler wheel, and platter. A causa dell’elevato numero di richieste, abbiamo realizzato lo stampo e la produzione in serie di questo ricambio.
Realizzata in bronzo sinterizzato rispettando le specifiche originali, la nuova bronzina ha un foro con una tolleranza di solo +0.005 mm e permette un accoppiamento perfetto con il perno che sostiene il supporto della idlerwheel permettendone la salita o la discesa. Trattandosi di un componente delicato, la nuova bronzina va fissata con frena filetti (non fornito), in questo modo non si corre il rischio che la nuova boccola possa restringersi quando viene fissata nel telaio.

NEW SINTERED BUSHING FOR THORENS TD 124 IDLER WHEEL CARRIER

Audiosilente is delighted to introduce the new bushing for the Thorens TD 124 idler-wheel carrier.
CNC machined from a solid cylinder of sintered bronze, the new bushing matches the idler-wheel support shaft perfectly.
The swinging arm carrying the idler-wheel is secured to a vertical shaft that moves up and down through a bronze bushing fitted in the chassis. The original bushing is almost always worn and has tolerances in the order of +0.05 +0.08 mm.

Excessive play causes the idler-wheel to tilt towards the stepped pulley, preventing the speed steps from engaging correctly.
A misalignment of the idler-wheel relative to the stepped pulley and platter can also cause noise and wear in the long run.

The new bushing is designed for a press fit with light pressure and to be secured with adhesive (ideally with threadlocker, not supplied). This prevents the inner bore from shrink-fitting.

Con vero piacere Audiosilente introduce la nuova boccola per il supporto puleggia Thorens TD 124.
Realizzata con macchina a controllo numerico da un cilindro pieno in bronzo sinterizzato, la nuova bronzina ha una tolleranza di +0.01 mm e permette un accoppiamento perfetto con il perno che sostiene il supporto della idlerwheel permettendone la salita o la discesa.

La bronzina originale Thorens m***ata nel telaio del TD 124 è quasi sempre consumata e presenta tolleranze nell’ordine di +0.05 +0.08 mm. Tutto ciò determina una inclinazione della puleggia verso la stepped pulley e quindi un disallineamento dei piani di rotazione di stepped pulley, idler-wheel e piatto, con più rumore e maggior usura delle parti meccaniche coinvolte.

La nuova boccola viene realizzata in modo che sia inserita con una leggera pressione e incollata in sede (idealmente con frena filetti, non fornito). In questo modo non si corre il rischio di danneggiare la nuova boccola e di causare restringimenti del foro interno.

SPRING RETAINERS FOR THORENS E50 BUSHINGS
Audiosilente is delighted to introduce a new uprated replacement part for the Thorens TD 124, 135, 184, and 224 turntables.
As it is well known, the Thorens E50 motor is fitted with two sintered bronze bushings held within their sockets by brass retainers which act on the spherical ends of the bushings, allowing for a certain amount of alignment adjustment.
This design has two major flaws as the retainers lack elasticity and the bushing assembly’s holding capability relies heavily on the felt washers. As a result, the retaining force is unsteady and inadequate. These factors often cause the bushing assembly to loosen gradually, resulting in excessive bushing movement and compromised motor performance. The lateral force of the pulley makes this even worse.
Therefore, it is crucial that upper and lower bushings (original or new) remain correctly aligned over time and are securely held in place by *real* spring collars that are not affected by external factors such as temperature, bushing wear or failure of the felt pads due to their degradation.
As can be seen in photos 1 and 2, upon removing the rivets securing the bushing assembly, a small space indicated by the arrow of approximately 2.7 mm can be seen. This is the compression space that keeps the bushing into place.

THE NEW SPRING COLLAR BY AUDIOSILENTE
Audiosilente introduces a new retainer with the following features:
- it is made of harmonic steel, very similar to that used in Garrard 301 and 401 motors. It is suitable for both original sintered bushings and the replacement sintered bushings produced by Audiosilente;
- it has 6 contact points within the socket that houses the bushing assembly (compared to only 4 points of the original retainer)
- it is based on a new design that ensures a secure fit of the bushing and prolonged operational stability as there is no interaction with the upper and lower felt washers.
- it delivers enhanced retaining force while maintaining the same ease of bushing alignment. The consistent tension provides long-lasting functionality of the bushing assembly and long-term reliability of the motor
- It is also ideal for all motors with damaged or lost original retainers.
With the new spring collars by Audiosilente the compression space available to the bushing assembly covers is increased to 3.3 mm allowing for high constant pressure consistently exerted on the entire bushing.
Many tests have been carried out on several motors even with new windings, new bearings, and new spring steel supports, all with excellent results.

FERMI MOTORE THORENS E50
Con vero piacere Audiosilente introduce un nuovo ricambio fondamentale per i giradischi Thorens 121, 124, 135, 184, 224.
Come è noto, il motore E50 Thorens m***a 2 bronzine sinterizzate con base sferica, mantenute in sede da fermi in ottone che permettono il movimento snodato delle stesse e il loro allineamento.
Tuttavia, l’ottone è un materiale scarsamente elastico e quindi non adatto a esercitare una pressione di bloccaggio costante, inoltre il motore E50 riceve una pressione laterale costante esercitata dalla tensione della cinghia, a causa del quale le bronzine tendono a inclinarsi con una perdita di giri del motore.
È dunque fondamentale che entrambe le bronzine possano rimanere vincolate in sede (originali o nuove) con una pressione costante nel tempo.
Come si può vedere dalla foto 1 e 2, con il coperchio del gruppo bronzina originale aperto (rivetti rimossi) lo spazio utile di compressione indicato dalla freccia è di circa 2.7 mm. Questa è l’escursione di serraggio con il dispositivo di ritenuta Thorens.
IL NUOVO GRUPPO DI SERRAGGIO
Audiosilente introduce quindi un nuovo fermo di bloccaggio con le seguenti caratteristiche:
- è realizzato in acciaio armonico, molto simile a quello utilizzato nei motori di Garrard 301 e 401. Tale sistema è idoneo sia per le bronzine sinterizzate originali sia per le bronzine sinterizzate prodotte da Audiosilente;
- presenta 6 punti di ancoraggio (contro i 4 del fermo originale);
- è affidabile nel tempo, in quanto non ci sono interazioni con le rondelle in feltro superiore ed inferiore. Questa è una differenza sostanziale rispetto ai supporti originali Thorens che non possono funzionare senza l'uso dei feltrini interposti
- è in grado di esercitare una pressione costante per garantire una maggior stabilità delle bronzine e quindi delle prestazioni/affidabilità del motore
- è ideale anche per tutti i motori con fermi originali danneggiati o smarriti
Con questo nuovo sistema di bloccaggio si ha, come si vede nelle foto 3 e 4, uno spazio di compressione di 3.3 mm. L’acciaio armonico, inoltre, esercita una pressione uniforme e costante sull’intera bronzina.
Una volta bloccata con i fermi in acciaio armonico, la bronzina è molto più stabile e ciò consente di avere un allineamento durevole nel tempo.
Sono stati svolti molti test su più motori e i risultati sono stati ottimi.

Audiosilente is delighted to introduce a new replacement part, the new spirit level for Thorens Td 124 mk1 mk2.
This is not an existing replacement part adapted for the purpose, as has been the case until now, but an exact replica of the original spirit level created specifically by us!
Dimensions, shape, and appearance have been carefully studied and reproduced in order to obtain an identical product.
This is a precision level. As a matter of fact the photos show all the levels lying on the same surface indicate the same measurement.
The base is perfectly ground and flat.
Very often, the original spirit level has lost its liquid over time or, as is often the case, the bubble inside has expanded, making it impossible to read.
The spirit level also comes with a steel ring and cream-colored cardboard to be applied to the bottom (exactly as in the original).
To remove the original spirit level, insert a plastic or wooden cylinder with a maximum diameter of 5 mm into the housing under the frame ad tap it until it comes out.
To install the new level, first put the new cardboard on the bottom of its housing and gently press down with your fingers.

Con vero piacere Audiosilente introduce un nuovo ricambio, la nuova livella per thorens Td 124 mk1 mk2.
Non si tratta di un ricambio già esistente adattato per lo scopo come fino ad ora è avvenuto, ma della replica esatta della livella originale creata appositamente da noi.
Le dimensioni, la forma e l’aspetto sono stati fedelmente studiati e riprodotti al fine di ottenere un prodotto identico.
Si tratta di una livella di precisione, infatti come si può vedere dalle foto tutte le livelle sullo stesso piano di appoggio indicano la stessa misura.
La base è rettificata perfettamente.
Molto spesso la livella originale a causa del tempo ha perso il liquido o, come accade in molti casi, la bolla all’interno si allarga rendendo la lettura di fatto impossibile.
La livella viene fornita anche di anello in acciaio e di cartoncino color crema da applicare sul fondo (esattamente come in origine).
Per rimuovere la livella originale applicare nel foro presente sotto al telaio in corrispondenza della sede con un cilindro di materiale plastico o legno di diametro massimo 5 mm.
Per il m***aggio, porre sul fondo il nuovo cartoncino e spingere a pressione con le dita.

Audiosilente is pleased to introduce the new version of the idler wheel for the Thorens TD124 Mk1-MK2, TD 135 Mk1-Mk2, TD 121, and TD 184.

On the market for about 20 years, version 3.0 features significant improvements:
- New design and identical weight to the Thorens original wheel: the Audiosilente wheel is now manufactured with the latest generation of CNC machines to ensure both flawless finish and tight tolerances
- Completely redesigned sintered bronze bushing to accommodate an oil-impregnated felt pad: the newly introduced felt acts as a real oil reservoir for the sintered bushing and ensures the constant presence of an oil film enveloping the rotation shaft
- The radius of curvature of the groove has been redesigned to ensure better coupling with the o-ring, which, when positioned correctly, allows for almost perfect roundness, as shown in the video.

Made of Avional aluminum, the wheel houses a bushing machined from sintered bronze cylinders pre-impregnated with oil.

Particular care has been taken in the lubrication. In fact, after careful studies, a new bushing has been designed to allow a laser-cut natural wool felt pad to be mounted on top of it. The felt pad embraces the bushing and serves as an oil reservoir, ensuring the constant presence of a lubricating film in the micro-gap between the bushing and the rotating shaft.
Particular care has also been taken addressing the wheel support surface (i.e., the part touching the thrust washer at the base of the shaft), which is made from the bushing itself and has a slim profile to reduce friction. This area is inspected through microscopic magnification to ensure no imperfections or abrasions that could prevent it from running silently are found.

The idler-wheel is made by Audiosilente for Thorens TD124 Mk1-MK2, TD 135 Mk1-Mk2, TD 121, and TD 184 turntables is produced in two versions:

Standard version with round O-ring.
The idler-wheel is supplied with a pre-installed liquid silicone O-ring and 1 set of spare O-rings. Customers can choose which O-ring to install. When positioned correctly, the O-ring allows for almost perfect roundness, as shown in the attached video.

Version with ground O-ring.
The idler-wheel has a pre-installed liquid silicone O-ring, made to Audiosilente specifications, which is glued and then ground on a high precision lathe. Each wheel is turned by its axis obtaining a round surface with a square profile.
Obviously, the pre-installed and glued O-ring must not be removed under any circumstances.
Once the ground liquid silicone O-ring has reached the end of its life (average life span of 10 years), the O-ring can be removed, its housing cleaned and the round O-rings supplied fitted, turning the wheel into a regular idler-wheel with O-rings.
A set of spare O-rings is supplied with the wheel.

Audiosilente è lieta di presentare la nuova versione della puleggia per i Thorens TD124 Mk1-MK2, TD 135 Mk1-Mk2, TD 121 e TD 184.

Sul mercato da circa 20 anni, la versione 3.0 presenta miglioramenti significativi:
- Nuovo design e peso identico alla ruota originale Thorens: la ruota Audiosilente è ora prodotta con macchine CNC di ultima generazione per garantire sia una finitura impeccabile che tolleranze ristrette.
- Boccola in bronzo sinterizzato completamente ridisegnata per ospitare un feltrino impregnato d'olio: il feltro di nuova introduzione funge da vero e proprio serbatoio d'olio per la boccola sinterizzata e garantisce la presenza costante di un film d'olio che avvolge l'albero di rotazione.
- Il raggio di curvatura della scanalatura è stato riprogettato per garantire un migliore accoppiamento con l'O-ring che, se posizionato correttamente, consente una rotondità pressoché perfetta, come mostrato nel video.

Realizzata in alluminio Avional, la ruota ospita una boccola ricavata da cilindri in bronzo sinterizzato preimpregnati di olio.

Particolare cura è stata posta nella lubrificazione. Infatti, dopo accurati studi, è stata progettata una nuova boccola che consente il m***aggio di un feltro di lana naturale tagliato al laser sulla sua sommità. Il feltro abbraccia la boccola e funge da serbatoio dell'olio, garantendo la presenza costante di un film lubrificante nel microspazio tra la boccola e l'albero rotante.
Particolare cura è stata posta anche nella superficie di appoggio della ruota (ovvero la parte a contatto con la rondella reggispinta alla base dell'albero), ricavata dalla boccola stessa e caratterizzata da un profilo sottile per ridurre l'attrito. Quest'area viene ispezionata tramite ingrandimento microscopico per garantire l'assenza di imperfezioni o abrasioni che potrebbero comprometterne il funzionamento silenzioso.

La puleggia realizzata da Audiosilente per i giradischi Thorens TD124 Mk1-MK2, TD 135 Mk1-Mk2, TD 121 e TD 184 ed è disponibile in due versioni:

La ruota dentata è fornita con un O-ring in silicone liquido preinstallato e 1 set di O-ring di ricambio. Il cliente può scegliere quale O-ring installare. Se posizionato correttamente, l'O-ring consente una rotondità pressoché perfetta, come mostrato nel video allegato.

La ruota dentata è dotata di un O-ring in silicone liquido preinstallato, realizzato secondo le specifiche Audiosilente, che viene incollato e poi rettificato su un tornio ad alta precisione. Ogni ruota viene ruotata lungo il proprio asse, ottenendo una superficie rotonda con profilo quadrato.
Ovviamente, l'O-ring preinstallato e incollato non deve essere rimosso in nessun caso.
Una volta che l'O-ring in silicone liquido macinato ha raggiunto la fine della sua vita utile (durata media 10 anni), è possibile rimuoverlo, pulirne l'alloggiamento e m***are gli O-ring rotondi in dotazione, trasformando la ruota in una normale ruota f***e con O-ring.

Audiosilente is pleased to introduce the new pulley for the Thorens E50 motor: TD 124 121 135 184 224. It’s also compatible with the Papts motor.
Made from Avional aluminum using CNC machines, it has been substantially upgraded compared to the original.
The original pulley was in fact produced in a single piece for both 50Hz and 60Hz, with a process involving two reworkings of the piece, resulting in the pulley being balanced at the end of production.
The new Audiosilente pulley has been separated into two distinct pieces, one for 50Hz and one for 60Hz. This has made it possible to manufacture the piece in a single production process, so that the pulley is perfectly balanced once it leaves the machining center.
In addition, the resulting weight reduction has reduced the vibrations induced by the pulley itself.
The pulley is secured with three grub screws positioned at 120 degrees. We supply 3 slotted M3 grub screws + 3 hexagonal M3 grub screws for a 1.5 mm Allen key (not supplied). The user can therefore choose according to their preference.
The internal diameter of the bore has a tolerance of only 0.005 mm with respect to the motor shaft size.
The 50 Hz version has an external diameter of approximately 36 mm.
The 60 Hz version has an external diameter of approximately 30 mm.

Con vero piacere Audiosilente introduce la nuova puleggia per motore Thorens E50 : TD 124 121 135 184 224 e compatibile anche con il motore Papts.
Realizzata in alluminio avional con macchine a controllo numerico rispetto all’originale ha un sostanziale aggiornamento.
La puleggia originale venne prodotta in un unico pezzo sia per il 50hz sia per il 60 hz con una lavorazione che comportò 2 riprese del pezzo con conseguente bilanciamento della puleggia a fine produzione.
La nuova puleggia Audiosilente è stata separata in due distinte pulegge, una per il 50 hz e una per il 60 hz. In questo modo si è resa possibile la lavorazione in un unico processo produttivo, per cui la puleggia è perfettamente bilanciata una volta che il pezzo esce dal centro di lavoro.
Inoltre, avendo ridotto il peso della puleggia si ha una riduzione delle vibrazioni indotte dalla puleggia stessa.
La puleggia viene fissata con 3 grani posti a 120 gradi. Il kit viene fornito con 3 grani M3 taglio piatto + 3 grani M3 testa esagonale per chiave a brugola 1.5 mm (non fornita). L’utente può dunque scegliere il fissaggio preferito.
Il foro della puleggia ha una tolleranza di solo 0.005 mm rispetto alla misura dell’albero motore.
La versione 50 HZ ha un diametro esterno di circa 36 mm
La versione 60 HZ ha un diametro esterno di circa 30 mm

Audiosilente is pleased to introduce the latest version of the graphite body for the Denon DL 103 - 103 R, CNC machined from a block of graphite, it now mounts 2 brass grub sockets glued into the graphite body , so it is possible with the M2 screws provided to mount the cartridge more easily, without running the risk of coming into contact with the coil wires. The sides themselves are also designed to protect the pins where the coil wires are soldered.

The weight of the graphite body is 3 grams, 1.5 grams more than the Denon 103 so the final weight of the Denon+ graphite body fitted will be 10 grams.

Graphite being an isotropic material has the ability to dissipate vibrations in all directions. With the addition of the graphite body you will have a more controlled bass and a more extended treble.

Con vero piacere che audiosilente introduce l ultima versione del body in grafite per Denon DL 103-103R , realizzato fresando dal pieno un blocco di grafite, ora m***a 2 grani in ottone incollati nel corpo in grafite , in questo modo è possibile, con le viti M2 fornite in dotazione m***are piu agevolmente la testina, senza correre il rischio di entrare in contatto con i fili delle bobine. Anche le stesse alette laterali sono progettate per proteggere i pin dove sono saldati i fili delle bobine
il peso del corpo in grafite è di 3 grammi, 1.5 grammi in piu rispetto alla denon 103 . quindi il peso finale della Denon con il corpo in grafite m***ato sarà di 10 grammi
Ricordo che la grafite essendo un materiale isotropico ha la capacità di dissipare le vibrazioni in tutte le direzioni. Con l aggiunta del corpo in grafite si avrà un basso piu controllato e un acuto piu esteso.

Due to numerous requests from our customers, Audiosilente is pleased to add to its catalog of upgraded replacement parts the centering adapter for the upper platter of the Thorens 124.
This precision component, machined from avional aluminum with fine sandblasting and light gray anodizing, centers the top platter and is designed to sit flush with its surface enabling the use of your preferred turntable mat in both Thorens 124 Series 1 and 2.
The shape of the adapter at the bottom follows the curvature that occurs inside the center of the aluminum top platter. The bushing is made of brass and ensures smooth operation with the correct tolerance.
A perfect complement to the upper platter is the isostatic graphite mat available in sizes of 5 -6-8 mm. The ideal size is 5 or 6 mm. The graphite mat, among other benefits, includes the reduction of the cartridge magnetic pull toward the heavy iron platter.
It is useful to point out that graphite is an isotropic material so it has the ability to dissipate vibrations in all directions. With the addition of a graphite mat you will have a much more controlled bass and greater detail in the higher frequency range.
The adapter comes with 3 M3 screws, allen wrench not included.
Please note that the round plate attached to the bottom of the Thorens top platter (not included) is required for installing our device.
We recommend mounting the centering adapter with loose screws. Then place the upper platter on the Thorens 124 platter and proceed to tighten the screws progressively. This way you will have perfect flatness of the assembly.

A seguito delle numerose richieste dei nostri clienti, Audiosilente è lieta di aggiungere al suo catalogo di ricambi aggiornati l'adattatore di centraggio per il piatto superiore del Thorens 124.
Questo componente di precisione, ricavato dal pieno in alluminio avional con sabbiatura fine e anodizzazione grigio chiaro, centra il piatto superiore ed è progettato per essere a filo con la sua superficie, consentendo l'utilizzo del tappetino per giradischi preferito sia sul Thorens 124 Serie 1 che 2.
La forma dell'adattatore inferiore segue la curvatura che si verifica all'interno del centro del piatto superiore in alluminio. La boccola è in ottone e garantisce un funzionamento fluido con la corretta tolleranza.
Un complemento perfetto per il piatto superiore è il tappetino in grafite isostatica, disponibile nelle misure da 5 a 6 mm. La misura ideale è di 5 o 6 mm. Il tappetino in grafite, tra gli altri vantaggi, include la riduzione dell'attrazione magnetica della testina verso il pesante piatto in ferro.
È utile sottolineare che la grafite è un materiale isotropico, quindi ha la capacità di dissipare le vibrazioni in tutte le direzioni. Con l'aggiunta di un tappetino in grafite otterrai bassi molto più controllati e un dettaglio maggiore nella gamma di frequenze più alte.
L'adattatore viene fornito con 3 viti M3, chiave a brugola non inclusa.
Si prega di notare che la piastra rotonda fissata alla parte inferiore del piatto superiore Thorens (non inclusa) è necessaria per l'installazione del nostro dispositivo.
Si consiglia di m***are l'adattatore di centraggio con viti allentate. Quindi posizionare il piatto superiore sul piatto Thorens 124 e procedere al serraggio progressivo delle viti. In questo modo si otterrà una planarità perfetta dell'assemblaggio.
