We’re heading to Exhibition&Conference 2026 in Nuremberg!

With the EU Cyber Resilience Act setting new benchmarks for embedded device security, this year’s event is a key opportunity to explore how our solutions address compliance requirements while reducing risk for customers and partners.

On November 11th, our CEO Gianni Cuozzo joined a panel at Web Summit to talk about the European cybersecurity landscape.

When asked by Massimo Marioni how the EU security sector will look in five years, he said he envisions a mature European cybersecurity industry — an ecosystem that is autonomous, globally competitive, and able to export its own solutions.

We would like to thank Carlos Alberto Silva, Managing Partner at 33N Ventures, and Luísa Proença, Deputy National Director of the Portuguese Polícia Judiciária, for their valuable insights during the panel, the Web Summit organization, and everyone who stopped by after the event.

We’re pleased to participate as a technical partner in Crossed Swords 2025, a cyber defence exercise conducted by the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence .
The event aims to enhance cyber skills at operational and tactical levels through realistic simulations of crisis and conflict environments. At Exein, we will bring our security expertise in protecting critical infrastructure in cyberwar scenarios.
More specifically, our team will contribute as threat hunters, integrating our advanced technologies, deploying AI-based monitoring tools, and sharing real-world insights from IoT security operations to significantly enhance the realism and effectiveness of the exercise.
The simulation is preceded by several months of planning and will feature more than 200 participants from over 40 countries, including both NATO and non-NATO member states.
Participants will include military cyber operators, digital forensic analysts, threat hunters, and other specialists from national cyber forces.

At the , our CEO had the chance to meet from the .podcast podcast to talk about his personal and professional journey.

The result is a conversation in which Gianni reflects on key milestones, from receiving his very first computer, to uncovering systemic firmware vulnerabilities that led to the creation of Exein, and lastly to the company’s global growth.

Oggi, il nostro CTO, , è salito sul palco di Electronics & Applications 2025 a Utrecht per condividere esempi pratici di come le soluzioni di sicurezza informatica di Exein rispondano a due delle esigenze più urgenti del mercato: una forte protezione e la conformità alle normative internazionali.

Durante il seminario, Giovanni si è soffermato in particolare su due delle più recenti normative dell’UE: il Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) e la RED 3.3. Questi nuovi quadri riflettono la necessità di disporre di dispositivi sicuri fin dalla progettazione e resilienti che operano sul mercato europeo.

Ha evidenziato come i produttori debbano analizzare i potenziali vettori di attacco e i rischi della catena di approvvigionamento nelle prime fasi di progettazione e pianificare in anticipo aggiornamenti regolari, correzioni rapide per le vulnerabilità e processi di ritiro sicuri durante la fase post-implementazione.

In definitiva, ha mostrato come, attraverso la piattaforma di Exein, sia possibile documentare le decisioni di sicurezza, gli inventari dei componenti e le vulnerabilità note e fornire documentazione tecnica alle autorità, soddisfacendo un criterio cruciale delle nuove normative.
