ARI DX 2020 5° classificato Singolo Operatore Mixed High Power
UBN Report Station IK0XBX,
Dear Contester:
Thank you for entering the ARI International DX Contest 2020
and for sending in your LOG.
Due to constant progress in refining our log checking methods, we
are now able to provide you with a complete log checking report
for your entry.
Please be aware that we are trying to be as fair as possible.
We did remove QSOs only when we had proof or a strong
indication of an error. If any doubt remained, we did not act,
leaving the QSO in question intact. Please note that we do
not apply penalties, so you only lose the QSO which we
think is in error. This general policy has been applied to all
logs in the same way.
For this contest, we used a database containing 489,556 QSOs
created by 2118 different entrants.
All logs were converted from an electronic Cabrillo log.
A total of 477,275 contacts is estimated to have happened on the air
in this contest.
390,688 of all contacts could be cross-checked directly log to log.
92,822 of the contacts could be verified indirectly by tracking,
within the database, those active callsigns that did not submit a log.
The remaining 6,046 callsigns represent 'uniques', and are
left in the database. These callsigns are counted towards
your score, however.
Thus, one can say that 98.77% of all contacts could be verified,
leaving only a very small amount of doubtful QSOs.
After these general words, let's have a look to your personal
results. What we do with your log is the following:
(a) We run your log through the evaluation software "as is".
This creates the raw result.
(b) Using different methods, we find erroneous QSOs
in your log (we always find something).
(c) Now all erroneous QSOs are removed. What's
left is again run through the evaluation process.
This creates the final result.
This report is divided into several sections.
1. Your raw score as calculated after log conversion and
removing duplicate contacts before log checking took
