A new space-manifesto comes to life.

IOC studio unfolds inside the historic headquarters designed by Angelo Mangiarotti, through a continuous journey connecting design, engineering, and craftsmanship.

The project unfolds through three interconnected spaces that celebrate the evolution from industrial roots to a contemporary global dimension: The Lab, Agorà, and The Lens.

The experience begins with The Lab, a creative corporate backstage where materials, prototypes and over 250 aluminum profiles reveal the know-how behind every IOC product. Conceived as a space for research, experimentation, and dialogue, it defines the IOC way of designing and producing.

Meet CORONAE, coffe table

First introduced at Salone 2025 in Portoro Nero and Sahara Noir marble, the CORONAE coffee table series by Migliore+Servetto for Neutra expands its narrative for 2026.

Defined by a pronounced slanted profile and an asymmetrical edge, the table captures a sense of continuous motion, pairing a lightweight marble top with a bold, geometric conical base.

The collection now features two new striking versions: one sculpted in Azul Macaubas, and another combining Bianco Lasa and Nero Marquinia in a masterful study of contrast.

Last week, our co-founder Mara Servetto joined an inspiring panel at organized by to discuss AI as a new frontier for cultural heritage.

Together with Gianluigi Ricuperati (), Serena Bertolucci (), Kimiko Bossi (), Giacomo Biraghi () and Salvatore Amura,L (.salvatore) the conversation explored the balance between digital innovation and traditional craftsmanship.

During the event, Mara introduced our concept of the museum as an expanded frame, envisioning a shift from the static white cube to a more dynamic space, a concept we define as ‘Museum Seed’. In our vision, advanced technologies and AI act as powerful tools to enhance sensory experiences and make archives live narratives without ever replacing human critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and the physical reality of spaces.

A heartfelt thanks to Salvatore Amura and to Valore Italia for having us, the brilliant co-speakers, and all young participants for such a stimulating dialogue on the future of multidimensional cultural design.

BUSAN ECHOES | INTERNI MATERIAE

A resonant landscape unfolds in the heart of Milan as a living wave of light and sound.

In collaboration with Busan Metropolitan City - South Korea’s leading maritime hub and the nation’s second city after Seoul - we are proud to present “Busan Echoes” at the Università Statale di Milano for Milan Design Week.

This project translates the vision of the World Design Capital 2028 into a polyphonic square where design acts as a tool for urban innovation and civic connection.

The installation is part of INTERNI MATERIAE, the exhibition-event by that serves as a symbol of FuoriSalone, hosted within the historic spaces of

The installation features a large wooden platform designed as a barrier-free space, inviting visitors to sit and interact with the surrounding narrative. At its center, sound-producing metallic elements inspired by Busan’s industrial heritage create a blooming garden of vibration and light.

MONOCHROME AFFINITY | Chapter 2

IV. THE BEDROOM
The journey gently unfolds into the sleping area, The Bedroom - a space conceived as an intimate boutique suite, where every element is attuned to the soft, shifting tones of twilight. Dolcevita white, the deep indigo of Azul Macaubas, and the delicate glow of rose crystal come together in a palette that feels both serene and enveloping.

II. THE LIVING ROOM
A study in chiaroscuro. A carefully composed interplay of contrasts defines this room, where the luminous purity of fine Lasa marble is set against the deep, graphic elegance of Eclipse Black and Grand Antique, creating a dialogue that moves gracefully between light and shadow.

MONOCHROME AFFINITY | Chapter 2

NEUTRA returns to Palazzo Visconti with MONOCHROME AFFINITY, an immersive exhibition where natural stone becomes a tactile narrative.

Under the direction of Migliore+Servetto, five rooms explore the dialogue between material, light, and “haute couture” design.

I. THE ATELIER
A “material library” where innovation meets craftsmanship. At its center, a monumental table of marble and leather samples invites bespoke creation, while visual narratives showcase the hypnotic sculpting of solid stone into fluid art.

Design & Made in Italy. A great conversation last Wednesday at about the synergy between Italian entrepreneurship and creative vision within the furniture sector, viewed through the lens of the current socio-economic landscape.

Our Mara Servetto joined the roundtable moderated by Sabrina Manfroi and shared her vision on the identity and potential of Italian design. She explored the evolving lifestyles and needs of younger generations through the lens of the ‘Third Space’ concept - a key focus of her studio’s ongoing research - defining it as a vital hub for shared connection and community.

A interesting dialogue enriched by the contributions of Beppe Finessi, alongside the economic perspective of Stefania Trenti and intervention of , Anna Roscio (), Dario Fumagalli () focusing on the competitiveness of the Italian production chain. The event concluded with an insightful closing dialogue between Stefano Barrese () and Maria Porro, President of Salone del Mobile.

Design remains a collective effort, merging local mastery with a global outlook to navigate today’s international markets.
Special thanks to for the invitation and for supporting the Italian creative ecosystem.

Italian Design Ambassador in Tokyo and Osaka, our co-founder Mara Servetto returns to represent Italian excellence for the 2026 edition.

During her talk at the titled “Urban Rhapsody: The City as a Collective Home,” she explored the strategic role of design in shaping the identity of contemporary cities. The dialogue gained even more depth thanks to the participation of design director and curator as a guest speaker.

Our connection with Japan grows stronger every day.
It was a true honor to represent Italian design there, especially as we move forward with our new project for the University of Art and Design, where Mara Servetto has been teaching since 2009, and being back on-site to build the new university building for their Tokyo campus feels like a natural evolution of this journey.

A special thanks to and for fostering this international synergy.

As Milan Fashion Week kicks off today, we find ourselves looking back to a project that holds a special place in our story.

It has been twenty years since we designed our very first edition of “Coats!” for .

What began in Berlin in 2006 evolved into an extraordinary global journey, traveling through Tokyo (2007), Beijing (2009), and Moscow (2011), before reaching its spectacular 2017 stage in Seoul at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza.

The exhibition was a journey through the history of the iconic Max Mara coat and the heritage of the brand. Across rooms filled with objects, garments, and sounds, an interactive experience made the ordinary extraordinary - much like the intuition that led founder Achille Maramotti to transform a masculine staple into a timeless icon of the female wardrobe.

From the “democratic coat” to the pop culture of the 1960s, the journey concluded by celebrating the unique vision of the female universe that Max Mara has shaped over decades.
