Being "data-driven" once stood for a structured, rational approach to decision-making—grounded in data rather than assumptions. But over time, this term has lost its true meaning, reduced to just another corporate buzzword used to appear innovative without necessarily embracing its principles. We’ve seen this before: "design thinking" started as a powerful methodology but was eventually watered down into a generic trend. The same is happening with "data-driven."
But real transformation isn’t about labels—it’s about how data is embedded in decision-making, creativity, and problem-solving at a fundamental level. It’s time to move beyond the jargon and ask: is our relationship with data truly meaningful, or are we just playing the branding game?
