Lightscores

LIGHTSCORES is a wearable interactive tool translating light into sound, simultaneously transforming what we see into an acoustic soundscape. Having its conceptual roots within performing arts, this interactive device combines the user’s visual sense with hearing and motor coordination. Sound can be composed by wearing LIGHTSCORES sensor modules on selected body positions while passing through different light situations. Movement is essential to help formation of brain areas. Further LIGHTSCORES is enhancing visual – acoustic perception, coordination training, fine motor movement, motor rehabilitation and color detection. Children disdover even more creative possibilities and get easily into a state of active exploration and continuous play. A bespoke system is therefore used in therapy for visually and multiply handicapped children. The setup can be adapted to each child’s needs: Early testings within research show that motor coordination improves.
