Type Around Florence is a collection of type discoveries. Designed and inspired by lettering and typ Giving those signs a second life.

Designed and inspired by lettering and typography from the streets of Florence. The project was born as a curiosity for the city and for the typographic elements found along the streets. The signs, letters, no matter if they are elegantly carved in marble, metal or plastic, are an integral part of the history and identity of a city, and Florence has it's own. The aim was to capture beautiful or pe

culiar letterforms to make an unique collection of illustrations based on the original sign but making a reinterpretation, playing with forms, colors and superpositions.

Type Around Florence is an ongoing project by graphic designer
The illustrations are inspired by the typography and lettering from the streets of Florence, such as shop fronts, street signs, manholes or any other typographical element found around the city.
The hope is that can serve as a reminder that the city’s beauty is not only limited to its famous architecture or art, but it can also be found in the overlooked details of our everyday life.
