Hello everyone, just want to inform the community about this free plugin which can backup, save and reload all the settings of core and third-party extensions installed in a Joomla website.

Basically it injects a new tab in Joomla extensions, for example when you open a module. So you have the tab "Backup" with three buttons to Save, Load or Delete this current extension settings. So before to replace the values of the fields in our example module, you can save the settings; then if you want to restore the previos values, just reload them via the other button. Such easy.

So far it works with modules, plugins, templates. Plus it can backup components settings, such as com_content settings.

I wonder if anyone wants to contribute with the translations in other languages. In case, he/she can make a pull request on GitHub. I would like to spread it, because I think it adds value to Joomla doing something easy but often needed.

We have released Improved Registration 1.0.5 our Joomla component to hide fields in user registration form, to create a blacklist or whitelist of users and to manage the Joomla registration process, such as use email address as username. Update now!

This update added the option to replace the username placeholder with a custom string, needed when Joomla can't retrieve the correct username in the form.

With Improved Registration you can stop fake users registrations in Joomla, create Joomla user blacklist and assign user to user group automatically.
