Studio Mut DESIGN INTERNSHIP starting September 2026 in Bolzano, Italy.

You will be joining our team of 6 designers, and do everything from the design to talking to clients, planing projects, and picking up the phone. We are looking for a talented creative person with a desire to do crazy good graphic design: identity, still, motion, digital, exhibition, books, and everything else we want to do. You should speak English — German or Italian is a plus. You should be in your last years of university, or freshly graduated (if you are younger or older, apply anyways). We are working together at our studio in Bolzano, please do not apply if you want to do a remote internship.

THE INTERNSHIP
lasts 6 months (with a 3 month trial period) and is paid 750 Euro per month after taxes (that means that we pay eventual taxes for you). Bolzano is in South Tyrol (Südtirol, Alto Adige), Northern Italy. We work Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM. We don’t work late nights or weekends. Free lunch at the studio kitchen. You will be credited on the projects you have worked on. You will eventually come along to presentations, talks and workshops. Previous interns have started their own studios, work at major agencies, started teaching or work with us full-time. Interning at Studio Mut is fun (if you like graphic design).

We’re looking for talented young designers keen to learn and gain experience through an internship with us. Join our team of six, and you’ll handle everything from concept to design to client communication and project planning. We work on visual identities, still and motion graphics, digital platforms, exhibitions, publications, and whatever we want to explore next. The internship offers full immersion in our studio, our way of working and creative process.

This six-month paid internship is based in Bolzano, South Tyrol (Südtirol, Alto Adige), Northern Italy. There are no remote internship positions. Fluency in English is essential, German or Italian proficiency is advantageous. Ideal candidates are final-year university students or recent graduates, though all ages are welcome — your portfolio speaks loudest. The submission of a portfolio containing around 5 of your projects in a PDF is mandatory. We work Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM, no late nights or weekends.

Arena Santa Giulia: our entry for the invited competition to develop the visual identity for Milan’s new arena, host venue for the 2026 Winter Olympics, designed by David Chipperfield Architects and commissioned by Eventim.
