A Data Lake or Data Mesh, what shall an organization choose?

Even though both technologies are relevant for any data driven business, it is important to understand the difference and use the right technology.

A Data mesh is an organized and decentralized data architecture that distributes data to specific domains e.g., Marketing, sales, etc. Data Mesh is a design concept using product management approach where each data domain is product and its users are known as consumers.

A Data Lake is a central repository holding all raw data in structured and unstructured format. Data Lakes are helpful when the volume and variety of data is too much to handle in the traditional way.

Azure Data Factory is a data integration system that allows data to move between on-premises storage systems to cloud systems. ADF or Azure Data Factory does not store any data but it creates a workflow in the cloud for orchestrating data movement and data transformation.
