The first part of my project is under testing! ⚡ TURN ON THE SOUND! 🔊
Basic idea: creating a MIDI box with a USB converter.
For this purpose I'm using the Teensy microcontroller 👾

↪️ Direction 1: from USB to MIDI
Teensy is configured as a MIDI device and is capable of catching MIDI messages coming from the USB.
At the moment the MIDI OUT circuitry is not implemented yet, because I need to use another device to catch the MIDI messages and process them.

↪️ Direction 2: from MIDI to USB
Here I set up the MIDI circuit to catch the messages through the DIN 5 interface. I tested part of it by connecting a MIDI keyboard 🎹 and a DAW ⌨️
The Teensy simply forwards MIDI messages to USB.

Linux "amidi" utility is soooo useful for this purpose 🐧

What's your experience with MIDI and microcontroller? Let me know commenting below this post 😃

Perhaps I'll upload the schematic for the charge and discharge..

Update: yes, this project again 😁
We were really excited for it!

Update: he connected things AFTER turning on the amplifier. I don't remember what was in detail but he told me that he saw a spark and after that some amplifier's stages went down 😅
I didn’t repair it, even though some of the components were burnt out; he asked for help to a guy who specialises in amplifiers and other musical equipment for help and, luckily, he managed to get it working ⚡

I was a student 📚, no job ❌, chill day 🕶️
The Korg Monotron is one of the simplest synth you can find nowadays. However, if compared with the price, the new M-VAVE FM-1 is very interesting, maybe I'll share something about it 🎹

Update: it has a cover that I bought some years ago to better protect the circuit from garbage when experimenting.
The push button is the most used thing 😂

This is the last project for a while, it's simple but you are able to control one LED using a resistive light sensor. I hope you'll try it😉

Update: my new project is proceeding slowly, sometimes I dedicate some time on it by writing lines of codes. It lacks an hardware structure at the moment 😅

Hello, today I will show you the breadboard diagram of the previous circuit posted.
I used a 74HC595 shift register in order to turn on one LED at a time, sequentially. ⚡
I noticed is a great device for that purpose!

Update: the purpose of my previous page was to build my own synthesizer.. I had a lot of time for that but I never started. Nowadays I have less time but I've done more progress than in the past 😂

Soon I'll show you the electrical diagram. ⚡

Update: another good project interfacing Arduino and external components, stay tuned for the breadboard design!
Further I'm continuing my project for a MIDI interface through Teensy, I'll show you something more soon 😉

In order to read more buttons with only one input, you can use an analog input connecting buttons in a resistive divider.

Update: a tribute to Kavinsky who recently passed away (background music).
Anyway I hope you're doing well during this hot summer 🌞
I'm on a new project with a Teensy 2.0, I'll share some stuff with you soon!

If you want to connect a button without using the internal pull-up resistor you can connect a 10kohm resistor between the button and ground (so it's pull-down).
Then you can set the code in order to control the LED. ⚡

↪️ Day 30 of sharing my content from my old IG page
Update: don't stop when you make it work. Try others variants of the same schematic topology and learn 🙌
