Quavlive is a spin-off of the Technical University of Bari (Politecnico di Bari) founded by professors and researchers which bases upon a longstanding research activity in the field of data and video transmission over the Internet. Quavlive has developed an adaptive client-side stream-switching prototype making available short movies pertaining to the "Memory Project" produced by Apulia Film Commission. Moreover, Quavlive is developing a portable device for wireless bandwidth aggregation (3G-4G, Wi-Fi) to be used for high-quality live events coverage (news gathering, sport events) without the use of expensive satellite devices.
