KeenTech, an IT solutions and smart systems company, is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer / Smart Systems Technician to join our team.
In this hands-on role, you will learn and implement modern automation technologies like KNX, Zigbee, and other smart building systems. Working both in the office and on-site, you will handle system configuration, technical assessments, installation, and client handover. KeenTech provides all necessary tools and resources; your responsibility is to learn quickly, take initiative, and turn that knowledge into successful project ex*****on.
Key Responsibilities
* System Configuration: Configure, program, and commission smart home systems (including KNX and Zigbee). Diagnose and resolve technical issues.
* Site Assessment: Conduct site visits, assess electrical conditions, and translate client requirements into practical technical solutions.
* Installation & Hands-On Work: Perform hands-on installation, verify wiring and network infrastructure, and test devices for proper operation.
* Project Ownership: Manage assigned technical tasks from initial site assessment through to final testing and client handover.
Requirements
* Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
* Strong technical foundation and a genuine interest in smart building technologies.
* Ability to learn new systems quickly and troubleshoot problems logically.
* Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with clients and site teams.
* A practical mindset with a willingness to perform hands-on technical fieldwork.
* Bonus: Previous experience with KNX, Zigbee, networking, or electrical installations.
* Must be based in Erbil, Iraq.
