Agriculture is a fundamental sector that supports the global economy, providing food, raw materials, and employment to billions of people. However, crop diseases remain a significant challenge, affecting agricultural productivity and food security. If left undetected, plant diseases can lead to substantial economic losses, decreased crop quality, and even large-scale food shortages. Farmers and agricultural experts traditionally rely on manual inspection to detect plant diseases, but this approach is often time-consuming, requires expertise, and may not always be accurate.
With advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and computer vision, automated plant disease detection has emerged as an effective solution to address these challenges. Deep learning techniques, particularly Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), have demonstrated high accuracy in image classification and pattern recognition, making them well-suited for identifying plant diseases from leaf images. This project integrates deep learning with image processing techniques using OpenCV to detect and classify plant diseases based on visual symptoms.
The system includes a pre-trained deep learning model that analyzes leaf images and predicts the disease category. Our android-based Biometric Student Attendance System ensures security, access control, reliability, efficiency and better performance. The system will have data on every student, and check the daily attendance of every student using the device. In this project, the front-end involves XML, Android-Java and the back-end involves SQL Server. The IDE used is Android Studio.
Biometrics gives you an alternative and higher security compared to passwords or pin identification due to the fact that passwords and pins can easily be compromised. Managing student attendance during lecture periods has become a difficult challenge.
The manual system of taking attendance is done on paper by the use of a pen, students write their names, index numbers and sign on a sheet of paper, this makes the system unreliable because students can write names of friends who are not in class. Also, the ability to compute the attendance percentage becomes a major task as manual computation produces errors, and also wastes a lot of time.

Radar’s are used on airports as well as military bases for unauthorized object detection. Radars work on the principal of echo detection in order to detect objects. In air the refection of echo waves is measured on the basis of time taken to receive the signal. Based on this data the object distance is identified. We propose to simulate this concept using Infrared technology. Our system consists of a IR sensor radar that rotates constantly at 360 degrees. The radar constantly emits IR rays and measures reflection. On detecting reflection from any object within its range the radar stops and sends a signal. The radar also sends the angle at which the object was identified. We here use a small IR transmitter receiver pair. The pair is interfaced with microcontroller to control the circuit working. The microcontroller constantly receives the radar input. On sensing an object the radar sends an alert message to the microcontroller. The microcontroller now gets the data and also gets the radar direction in order to get angle at which object was detected.

A sizeable portion of the population uses some sort of bus service to commute to their workplace, college, school, etc. The commuters who travel on a frequent basis prefer to use a bus pass instead of getting a ticket as it is both cheaper and convenient. However, renewing the pass often requires a traveller to wait in long queues to renew their pass often making it inconvenient and negating the benefits of holding a pass. Passengers also need to carry and present their pass daily in order to avail the benefits.

Moreover, a simple paper-based pass can be easily forged. Thereby, causing a significant loss of business for bus service operators. This Android Bus Pass Management System has been developed to help both passengers as well bus operators and simplifying the process of bus pass management. This system allows passengers to renew their pass by making payment through the app itself. The renewed pass is stored in the app itself for easy access.

A Facial Expression Recognition (FER) System is an advanced project for Electronics and Communication (E&C) students, combining image processing, artificial intelligence, and embedded systems. The system works by capturing facial images through a camera, detecting faces, and analyzing key facial features such as eyes, eyebrows, and lips to recognize emotions like happiness, sadness, anger, surprise, fear, and disgust. The system makes use of Temperature sensor for fire detection in car, Vibration sensor to detect any impact force or heavy vibrations, Alcohol sensor to check if driver was drunk, gyro scope sensor to record data if vehicle tilted or turned over during accident and a GPS and GSM modem to send SMS with GPS Coordinates about the incident. This complete system is now powered by an Arduino Mega to operate the system.
The system also has 2 Motors used to demonstrate as car engine. We can increase the speed of Motors using Trimpot. As we increase the speed beyond set limit, the system detects over speeding and sends an SMS Message with over speeding alert and GPS coordinates to registered number. The system monitors all sensor data to check for any abnormalities. If the fire sensor detects a fire, the controller operates the interfaced GSM modem to send an SMS to the registered contact number informing about the event and also starts recording data.
Similarly if the vibration sensor detects heavy vibrations, the controller sends SMS to registered number informing about the event to the registered user. Is alcohol sensor is triggered the controller similarly sends an SMS notification with alcohol data and GPS Coordinates on Map link for easy vehicle location tracking. In case of any sensor triggers an abnormal activity the black box starts storing all sensor data on a second by second basis in an SD card so that investigation team may recover the data and study exactly what went on

Oscilloscopes are used to display changes in electrical signals over a period of time in terms of X and Y axis, displayed on a calibrated scale.
We here develop a smart watch with built in oscilloscope that takes electronics, troubleshooting and development to the next level. The system is basically a wearable device that puts the oscilloscope on your wrist for use as and wherever you desire.

For this system we make use a battery powered device with battery charging and monitoring circuitry. This checks for battery level and also alerts for charging if battery low and auto cut off battery protection from overcharging. We here develop a Low frequency oscilloscope that covers frequency range upto 20 Khz DC. Also it can deliver a maximum sampling rate of 50000 samples/sec. This will allow for 60 pixels placed on y axis depending on the analogue signal.

The circuitry utilizes a single operation amp IC that is LM358 which incorporates two operation amps inside one single chip. As the info sign will be AC and we don’t have split rail development, there are two operation amps (from a single Op-Amp 8 pin package) used to make the sign ac coupled. Both the operation amp is taken care of with a reference voltage that is utilized to balance the sign and utilizing simple data sources it is plotted on the extension chart.

The main intention behind this temperature-controlled fan project is to automatically control the speed of the fan based on the room temperature variations. In this project to read room temperature, we bring into play the LM35 sensor which conveys all the variations to the digital to analog converter which converts the variations into a digital signal & sends it to the microcontroller. After reading the digital signals microcontroller controls the fan speed with the help of the relays attached to it.The user is provided with a display screen to provide all the variation information, a buzzer is heard while the fan speed is controlled. The microcontroller employed in the project is of the 8051 families. All the coding is done in “C” programming language & is written into the microcontroller of the 8051 families. Water heaters consume a large amounts of electricity for heating water. Traditional heaters require heating coils to heat up water using a minimum of 2000Watt for the process. Well when we use solar energy for water heating it requires around 30 to 50 watt of power saving more a lot of energy.

We here develop a more efficient solar water heater to heat up water at a faster rate using efficient coiling along with heat trapping and reflecting mirrors. The water heater can more efficiently heat up water at a faster pace than traditional solar water heaters.

The system makes use of steel pipes coiled together for passing water through them. The pipes are heated by solar rays directly falling on them. We additionally use a metal plate behind the pipes with a black paint to absorb the rays passing through in between pipes. Over this we use 2 additional reflective sheets to gather and reflect additional solar rays over the pipes. This system heats up the pipes thus heating up the water passing.

We now have a water tank for water storage. The system makes use of a Pump motor to pump water through the pipes. It is a low power motor which needs external power supply of up to 50 Watts. The motor drives water from the pipes through the heating pipes and right back into the tank thus heating the water continuously.
