*UPDATE on 14th BLOCK ALLOTMENT*

Due to technical errors, around 60 rooms were not made available for allotment in 1K second block today. This happened as these rooms were allotted in double occupancy last year, and were converted into single occupancy this time.

Since most students prefer staying in 1K over 14th block, *there will be a second round of allotment tomorrow.*

Here is what will happen:

1. All students who were allotted 14th block will have their rooms reset. *These students will have to book their rooms again tomorrow*

2. All rooms in 14th block, and the extra rooms in 1K 2nd block will be made available for allotment.

3. The students can either choose a room in 14th block, or in 1K second block, depending on their preference.

*The allotment process will happen today, 27th July, 2023 from 7 PM.*

*All students who were allotted 14th block are requested to book hostel rooms tomorrow at the same time*

All 4th year JOSAA boys are requested to delete their roommate groups, if any, that were created on OMAHA during hostel allotment last year. Please do this before the allotment process starts.

Allotment for 4th Year BTech Male Students (JOSAA)

Room allotment starts on Wednesday, 26 July, 2023 from 7:00 PM

Single Occupancy Only. No double occupancy rooms will be alloted for 4th year boys.

• Only select rooms from list of hostel blocks mentioned below:
> 1K First Block
> 1K Second Block
> 14th Block

Other hostel rooms will not be allotted. Do not book such a room, as it will be made invalid later.

NOTE:
• Students can either create group of two and book their rooms, or those who want double occupancy but do not have roommate, can still book the rooms, they will be given random roommates.

• Deadline to select a roommate: 4:00 PM, 24/07/2023

• Only select rooms from list of hostel blocks mentioned below.
> New LH, Block B

Other hostel rooms will not be allotted. Do not book such a room, as it will be made invalid later.

• If you are unable to send / receive roommate request, follow the instructions in the guide. If problem still persists, then contact WSDC through Facebook. Do not mail to Chief Warden regarding that.

Points to be Noted:
1. On clicking the room no. the room will be allocated directly.
There will be NO confirmation before that. So click with your responsibility.

2. Room once allocated will not be unallocated at any cost.

3. Only groups leader/admin has to take part in room allocation and the same room will be allotted to other members of the group.
This process cannot be undone.
Other members cannot take part in room allotment.

Open Elective portal for submitting your preference order has been opened for BTech forth-year students for the 4-1 semester.
You can start filling in your preferences.
1) Go to the "Open Elective" tab on your Student Portal dashboard.
2) Read through the instructions carefully.
3) Click on the green "Application" button on the top to enter your preference order.
4) As you select the subjects, the subject preference number will appear on the button. "1" for highest preference and so on.
5) You can "Reset" to remove the preference numbers. You can also re-order and "Submit" as many times as needed before the deadline.
6) After pressing "Submit", the subject list will re-order according to your choices. Check again at this point if all appears correct.
7) At this point, you can again select a different order and "Submit" if required.
Deadline: 11:59 pm, Monday July 25, 2023

Everyone has 12 choices
-> Allocation of courses is completely based on CGPA at the end of the 3-2 semester.
-> WSDC is transparent in the allocation of open electives. The entire allocation process is automated with a pre-defined algorithm, and thus no student has the right to allot or change the allotted elective.
-> Allotment results will be published a day later after the deadline.
-> Be careful while submitting. Submitting the wrong choices in a hurry is not considered as a valid problem. You may re-order as many times as you want before the allotment.
*However, once the allotment has been done, we cannot change your elective without a letter from the Examination Department signed by Dean Academics.
-> If you fail to update your preferences before the deadline, the default preference order will be used for allotment.
-> Please note that the selections are made in the descending order of preference. i.e. "1" represents the highest preference, and "12" represents the lowest preference.
Please fill out your choices at the earliest. We have strict orders from the dean regarding the deadline, and hence, we won't be able to do anything if you were not able to update your preferences.

**Feedback even Semester 2022-23**
The even semester course feedback (for both theory and laboratory courses) for the students of 3rd,4th year B Tech and Msc tech,MCA 3rd year has been enabled on WSDC portal now.

*All UG and PG Second year students have to fill feedback on Smile portal then only they will be alloted with admit card for end exams.*

*Deadline to fill feedback : 7th May,2023 11:59:59 PM*

**Attention UG second year and PG first,second year students regarding admit card on smile portal**

Those students who completed feedback submission can download admit card for upcoming exam separately for minor and major programs, admit card menu is enabled to student login in SMILE portal.
