Event Descriptions
1. PRO’DE:
This is a team programming and debugging event consisting of 3 Rounds. The participants will be tested upon basic programming skills in C and C++. A team can have a maximum of 2 members.
Round 1 will be a scrrening test consisting of basic objective questions on C and C++.
Round 2 will be a debugging round where there will be questions given to the team and they need to debug those.
Round 3 will be a coding round , where problem statements will be given and they need to code that.
Merit certificates will be given to the top 3 teams.
2. Gen Haulier @ Paper Presentation:
This is a paper presentation where the participants whose abstracts have been screened will present their paper or powerpoint presentation before an elite panel of faculty.
The merit certificates will be given to all those participants , whose abstracts haven been selected.
One need to submit the abstracts by 10th of February , 2014 to email id “[email protected]”.
3. Career Mentor @ Mock Placement:
The exact way in which the placements for the final year students will be done, this event is a replica of it.
Right from the written test and interviews , every step is similar to the actual placement process. A detailed analysis of the performance of the participant in every round will be given to them , so that one will improve himself before the actual placements.
The third year and second year students are allowed to participate in this event.
4. SIT:
This is a team event where a team can have maximum of two members.
The teams will be tested on their spontaneity through 3 rounds.
Merit certificates will be given to the top three teams.
5. Magnum Opus @ Film Making:
This is an entertaining event to bring out the creativity in the students. The participants of this event can form teams and they need to film or shoot the University campus justifying the task given to them.
Merit certificates will be given to the first 3 winning teams.
6. Webnotize:
This is another technical event where the teams with maximum of two members will be writing a test on basic HTML in Round 1, which is a screening round.
The passed teams will be given a web page to develop in Round 2.
Merit certificates will be given to the top 3 teams.
7. White Box @ Technical Exhibition:
This is an exhibition of the apps and rovers developed by GITAMites. Just Enjoy watching!!!
8. Game Lords:
This is a LAN Gaming event where the people will be palying Counter Strike Tournaments throughout the fest.
Due to technical difficulties, the participants who wish to play tournaments in FIFA, should bring their own Laptops.
9. Robo – Wars:
This is an event of strengths. Here the rovers developed by the participants will be given some tasks to do and then they will be facing each other for a gruel duel.
Merit certificates will be given to the winners.
10. T-Q-T:
This is a technical quiz of one hour covering the topics of EDC , Network Theory and Analysis , Digital Electronics.
This is targeted on the students of Electricals and Electronics.
Merit certificates will be given to the top 3 scorers.
11. Signa Hunt:
This is a treasure hunt where the participants are given receivers which will pick signals and they need to find the transmitter which is emitting the signals, where their next clue is present. They need to advance to the treasure with the help of those clues.
Treasure will be given to the winner and merit certificates will be given to the runners.
12. Circuitrix:
This is a technical event of two rounds.
Round 1 is a screening test on basic electronics and the qualified members will be given a problem statement in the Round 2 to which they need to develop a circuit.
Merit certificates will be given to the first 3 participants.
In addition to the above mentioned events , there are also many exciting spot events to lift your mood and spirits.
