திருபாய் அம்பானி அவர்கள், 1932 ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் மாதம் 28 ஆம் தேதி இந்தியாவின் குஜராத் மாநிலம் சோர்வாத் அருகிலுள்ள “குகஸ்வாடாவில்”, ஹீராசந்த் கோர்தன்பாய் அம்பானிக்கும், ஜமுனாபென் என்பவருக்கும் மகனாக ஒரு நடுத்தர வர்க்க மோத் குடும்பத்தில் பிறந்தார்.

ஆரம்ப வாழ்க்கை

ஹீராசந்த் கிராமத்தில் பள்ளி ஆசிரியராகத் தன்னுடைய வாழ்க்கையைத் தொடங்கிய அவர், பிறகு தென்மேற்கு ஆசியாவில் உள்ள ஏமனுக்கு சென்று ஏ.பெஸி & கோ நிறுவனத்தில் சிறிது காலம் வேலைப் பார்த்தார். அந்நிறுவனத்தில் பல பொறுப்புகளில் பணியாற்றி வந்த அவர், பத்தாண்டுகள் கழித்து இந்தியா திரும்பினார். பின்னர், தன்னுடன் ஏமனில் வேலைப்பார்த்து வந்த சமபக்லால் தமானி என்பவருடன் இணைந்து, ‘மஜின்’ என்ற நிறுவனத்தை மஸ்ஜித் பந்தரில் உள்ள நரசினதா என்ற இடத்தில் ஆரம்பித்தார். இந்நிறுவனம் முதலில் பாலிஸ்டர் நூல் இறக்குமதியும், மிளகாய் ஏற்றுமதியும் செய்யத் துவங்கியது. ஒரு காலகட்டத்திற்க்கு பிறகு, சமபக்லால் தமானியுடன் ஏற்பட்ட கருத்து வேறுபாட்டால், தனியாகப் பிரிந்த திருபாய் அம்பானி அவர்கள், தனது சொந்த நிறுவனத்தைத் தொடங்கினார்.

வெற்றிப் பயணம்

1970 ஆம் ஆண்டின் பிற்பகுதியில், துணி வியாபாரத்தில் நல்ல லாபம் இருப்பதை உணர்ந்த அவர், தன்னுடைய முதல் நூற்பாலையை அகமதாபாத்தில் உள்ள நரோதாவில் 1977 ஆம் ஆண்டு துவங்கினார். விமல் என்னும் பெயரில் துணிகளை விற்பனை செய்து வந்த இந்நிறுவனம், வளர்ச்சியுற்ற நாடுகளின் தர அடிப்படையிலும் கூட மிகச் சிறப்பாக அமைந்திருந்தது. இதனால், 1977 ஆம் ஆண்டுகளின் பிற்பகுதியில், இந்தியாவின் பல்வேறு பகுதிகளில் இருந்தும் சுமார் 55000-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட சிறு முதலீட்டாளர்கள், ரிலையன்ஸின் தொடக்கப் பொதுப் பங்கு வெளியீட்டை வாங்கினர். இதனால், நாளுக்கு நாள் சிறு முதலீட்டாளர்களின் நம்பிக்கையைப் பெற்ற நிறுவனமாக இது மாறியது. குறிப்பாக சொல்லப்போனால், 1982 ஆம் ஆண்டுகளுக்கு பிறகு, அவர் பங்கு சந்தையில் தன்னுடைய பங்குகளின் விலையை பன்மடங்கு அதிகப்படுத்தி, ‘பங்கு சந்தைகளின் முடிசூடா மன்னனாக’ விளங்கினார்.

பல பிரச்சனைகள் வந்தாலும், முன்னேற்றத்தை மட்டுமே குறிக்கோளாகக் கொண்டு செயல்படத் துவங்கிய அவர், தொடர்ந்து தன்னுடைய வணிகத்தை விரிவுப்படுத்தும் பணியில் ஈடுபட்டார். பெட்ரோலிய வேதிகள் உற்பத்தி, தொலைத்தொடர்பு, தகவல் தொழில்நுட்பம், எரிசக்தி, மின்சாரம், சில்லரை விற்பனை, துணி உற்பத்தி, உள்கட்டமைப்பு சேவைகள், மூலதனச் சந்தைகள், சரக்குப் போக்குவரத்து எனப் பல தொழில் அமைப்புகளை உருவாக்கி, மாபெரும் வளர்ச்சிப் பாதையில் தன்னுடைய வர்த்தக நிறுவனத்தை விரிவுபடுத்தினார்.

தனிப்பட்ட வாழ்க்கை

திருபாய் அம்பானி அவர்கள், கோகிலா பென் என்ற பெண்மணியைத் திருமணம் செய்து கொண்டார். இவர்களுக்கு, முகேஷ் மற்றும் அனில் என இரண்டு மகன்களும், நிதா கோத்தாரி மற்றும் நினா சல்கோகர் என இரண்டு மகள்களும் பிறந்தனர்.

இறப்பு

மும்பையில் முல்ஜி-ஜீதா துணிச் சந்தையில் ஒரு சிறு வணிகராக தன்னுடைய வாழ்க்கைப் பயணத்தைத் தொடங்கிய திருபாய் அம்பானி அவர்கள், 2002 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜுலை மாதம் 6 ஆம் தேதி தன்னுடைய 69 ஆம் வயதில் மாரடைப்பால் மரணம் அடைந்தார்.

2000 – இந்தியாவின் வேதித் துறையின் வளர்ச்சி மற்றும் மேம்பாட்டிற்கு அவருடைய பங்களிப்பைப் பாராட்டி, கெம்டெக் ஃபவுண்டேஷன் மற்றும் கெமிக்கல் இன்ஜினியரிங் வோர்ல்ட் அமைப்புகள் அவருக்கு, ‘நூற்றாண்டின் சிறந்த மனிதர் விருதினை’ வழங்கி கௌரவித்தது.
1996, 1998 மற்றும் 2000 ஆம் ஆண்டிடு ஆசியா வீக் இதழ் வெளியிட்ட ‘பவர் – 50 ஆசியாவின் மிகவும் சக்திவாய்ந்த மனிதர்கள்’ பட்டியலில் இடம்பெற்றார்.

உழைப்பு, ஒழுக்கம், தன்னம்பிக்கை என அனைத்தையும் தன்னுடைய முன்னேற்றத்தின் மூலதனங்களாக சமர்பித்து, ரிலையன்ஸ் இண்டஸ்ட்ரீஸ் என்னும் மாபெரும் தனியார் நிறுவனத்தை உருவாக்கி, இந்தியாவை மற்ற நாடுகள் எல்லாம் வியப்போடு பார்க்கிற வகையில், வணிகத்தில் மாபெரும் புரட்சிக் கண்டவர் திருபாய் அம்பானி அவர்கள். குறிப்பாக சொல்லப்போனால், திறமையும் உழைப்பும்தான் முக்கியமான விஷயம் எனக் கூறிய திருபாய் அம்பானி, இன்று சுயமாகத் தொழில் செய்யும் ஒவ்வொருவரின் வழிகாட்டியாகத் திகழ்கிறார் என்று சொன்னால் அது மிகையாகாது.

Reliance Jio 4G Welcome Offer likely to be extended till March 2017
New Delhi: Good news for all Reliance Jio 4G Welcome Offer subscribers – the free offer which was slated to come to an end by December 3 is likely to be extended to March 2017.

Last week, there were reports that the Reliance Jio Welcome Offer which offers subscribers unlimited 4G data, voice call and free roaming would come to an end on December 3 and not December 31 as it was announced during the launch.

However, latest reports, though it cannot be confirmed at the time of filing of this story, suggest that the Welcome Offer could be extended up to March 2017 – a welcome news for subscribers.

According to a report, Reliance Jio has informed analysts that it may extend free data and voice calls services till March 2017.

Under the Jio Welcome Offer, Reliance offers 4GB of 4G data on a daily basis with unlimited 4G night data between 2 am – 4 am.

However, what is interesting is that, as per TRAI rules, a telecom service provider cannot give free services for more than 90 days.

Hence, the regulator had cut short the Reliance Jio offer to December 3 from December 31.

But considering the recent press statement of Reliance Jio's head of strategy and planning, Anshuman Thakur, it is very much likely that the company could extend the offer till March 2017.

He had said, "We have told Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) and government that customers have faced issues with regard to the quality of service due to the interconnection congestion and they have not been able to enjoy the services that they deserve and what we want to deliver to them. And till we are in a position where we can deliver the quality of service as desired by the Jio management, it will be unfair to charge the customer."

But again, only time can tell if the offer will be extended. Till then, enjoy the free offer now.

According to analysts, Reliance Jio may extend its ‘Welcome offer’ to March 2017 in an effort to meet its target of 100 million subscribers, Livemint reported on Monday. Earlier, the plan was to end free services on December 31.

"Mass scale free welcome offer could continue until March 2017 to attract subscriber growth towards the celebrated 100 million mark with RJio's indicative data pricing at Rs130-140 per GB," Motilal Oswal analysts said in a note, LiveMint reported .
“If the situation with the points of interconnect pertaining to voice calls persists with the incumbents, then they will look at innovative solutions to ensure that users do not pay unless the quality of service improves,” Citi Research analysts wrote in a note as well.

In a statement issued on September 23, Jio had alleged that over 12 crore calls failed daily between Jio and the networks of Airtel, Vodafone and Idea because of the incumbents failure to provide sufficient interconnect points. As per quality of service rules, not more than five calls in 1,000 should fail due to network congestion.

Late last month, as the row between incumbents and newcomer Reliance Jio escalated, Trai intervened and issued show-cause notices to operators for call drops far exceeding the norm. It had given incumbent operators 10 days to explain why action should not be initiated against them for violation of service quality norms.

In their reply to TRAI, Idea said that the show-cause notice was "defective, invalid and premeditated" and that the sole reason for poor service quality was Reliance Jio. Airtel said that the notice was premature and that it was making effort to augment interconnection.

The regulator had given a deadline of October 17, 2016, to mobile operators to resolve the matter so that customers do not experience poor quality of service. Trai has observed a high level of congestion in telecom networks leading to call failure on Reliance Jio's network.

Last week, the regulator recommended a penalty of Rs 3,050 crore on Airtel, Idea and Vodafone for not providing enough interconnect points to Jio.
