Hirabai Barodekar (born as born as Champakali; died: 20 Novembar 1989) was an Indian Hindustani classical music singer, of Kirana gharana. She was disciple of Ustad Abdul Wahid Khan. Hirabai appeared in her first public performance under patronage of Kesarbai Kerkar at the age of 15. She was an expert in Khyal, Thumri, Marathi Natya Sangeet, and Bhajan. Hirabai acted in several movies, including "Suvarna Mandir", "Pratibha", "Janabai", and "Municipality". She also started a music school, "Nutan Sangeet Vidyalaya", to teach music to girls. Major Sir Bruce Lovat Seton of Abercorn, 11th Baronet (born in Simla; died: 28 September 1969), better known as Bruce Seton, was a British actor and soldier. Bruce was commissioned into the Black Watch in 1929 as a 2nd Lieutenant, but resigned his commission in 1932. A brief interruption in his acting career came during the Second World War and in November 1939 he held the rank of Captain in the 10th Battalion, Cameronians (Scottish Rifles), ending the war as Major, he was awarded the Medal of Freedom. Bruce began his acting career in the chorus line at Drury Lane Theatre and in 1935 he starred in Ralph Ince's film Blue Smoke as character Don Chinko.

Vinayak Damodar Savarkar (died: 26 February 1966, commonly known as Swatantryaveer Savarkar) was an Indian pro-independence activist, lawyer, politician, poet, writer and playwright. He advocated dismantling the system of caste in Hindu culture, and reconversion of the converted Hindus back to Hindu religion. Savarkar coined the term Hindutva (Hinduness) to create a collective "Hindu" identity as an "imagined nation". Madhavrao Bagal, created his own style of painting with expressing light and shade through minimal colors. The environment created in his painting is beautiful. He has written two books namely Artists of Kolhapur and Art and Artists that talk about art and artists in Kolhapur. As a social reformer, he worked for up-liftment of Dalits and advocated they be allowed right to visit temple and mingling with other castes.
