GOOGLE LAUNCHES POSTMASTER TOOLS FOR GMAIL.

Google has released a new tool for Gmail called Postmaster Tools.

According to thenextweb.com, the tool allows qualified high-volume senders to analyze their mass emails to find out which messages are being sent to spam and to what sort reputation they have with recipients.

Google said this will allow them to check on any mistakes and learn more about best emailing practices.

Also, Gmail is overhauling the spam filter on the end-user side. It is now implementing machine learning to detect and block spam trying to pass off as wanted mail.

The company says that it has also improved its overall phishing protection.

The new filter will also be able to learn what kind of emails the users like to read based on their habits

GOOGLE EARTH WILL SOON SHOW 3D IMAGERY OF INDIA’S MAJOR CITIES

3D imagery of buildings and terrain of India’s major cities, including Rashtrapati Bhavan and PMO, could soon be seen in Google Earth with the government contemplating to give permission for uploading pictures of the country’s metropolitan areas.

Home Ministry officials recently held a meeting with representatives of Google and the issue was discussed threadbare. ”Discussions are on and we are planning to give permission to Google to put 3D imagery of Indian metropolitan areas in Google Earth,” a Home Ministry official said. If permission is given, apart from Rashtrapati Bhavan and Prime Minister’s Office, which is located in South Block, 3D imagery of other sensitive buildings like North Block, Prime Minister’s residence, headquarters of Army, Air Force, Navy could also also be seen in Google Earth.

United States, the United Kingdom, China and many countries in the world have already given permission to put 3D imagery of their respective metropolitan areas. Google Earth is a very popular geolocation software. In Google Earth 7, the latest version, one can see complete 3D representations of buildings and terrain throughout metropolitan areas. 3D imagery provides an immersive experience as one can explore, just like the view when someone is flying over the city.

As it is zoomed in, buildings and terrain will start to appear in 3D. Once you can see the buildings, pan, zoom, tilt and rotate to explore the 3D environment. Anyone can view 3D imagery by using Google Earth 7 on the devices like Android – any dual core device running Gingerbread (Android version 2.3) or greater iOS – an iPad 2, iPad 3, or iPhone 4S.

Fujifilm, the Japanese multinational photography and imaging company, launched a new instant polaroid camera at a price of Rs.9,550.

Named Instax Wide 300, the camera weighs 612 grams without the batteries, strap and film. The camera’s shooting range is empowered with a real image finder and a built-in automatic electronic flash and liquid crystal display unit. The camera will have the ability to accommodate 10 film packs.

Commenting on the launch, Yasunobu Nishiyama, managing director of Fujifilm, said: “At Fujifilm, we are committed to bringing in constant innovation. The Instax series is a range of instant cameras with remarkable features that appeal to different age groups and usage patterns.” ”Aided with better technology and features, the wide format photography enables capturing every facial expression and object feature with a lot of clarity and sharpness. ”In addition, these cameras are perfectly equipped for professional photography and specialised photography for weddings, parties, birthdays and other memorable events,” he added.
