പൊരിങ്ങൽക്കുത്ത് ഡാമിലെ ജലനിരപ്പ് വീണ്ടും കുറഞ്ഞു. ഇതു വരെ രണ്ടരയടി വെള്ളമാണ് കുറഞ്ഞത്. എന്നാൽ ഒന്നര മണിക്കൂറായി ഡാമിൽ ചെറിയ തോതിൽ മഴയുണ്ട്.ഇതേ സമയം ഷോളയാർ ഡാമിലെ ജലനിരപ്പ് 38 ൽ നിന്നും 42 ശതമാനമായി വർദ്ധിച്ചു.തമിഴ്നാട്ടിലെ അപ്പർ ഷോളയാർ ഡാമിൽ 80 ശതമാനം വെള്ളമായതോടെ വൈദ്യുതി ഉൽപ്പാദനം തുടങ്ങി. ഈ വെള്ളമാണ് ഷോളയാറിൽ എത്തുന്നത്. ഷോളയാർ ഡാമിൽ 42% മാത്രം വെള്ളമുള്ളതിനാൽ അപ്പർ ഷോളയാർ ഡാമിൽ നിന്ന് വെള്ളം എത്തിയാൽ തന്നെ 75% ജലനിരപ്പിൽ കൂടുതൽ വെള്ളം എത്താൻ സാധ്യത ഇല്ല. അതുകൊണ്ട് ആശങ്കപ്പെടേണ്ട സാഹചര്യം ഇല്ല. ചാലക്കുടിപ്പുഴയിലെ ജലവിതാനം ഇതിനകം നാലര അടി കുറയുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ ആശങ്ക വേണ്ടെന്നാണ് അധികൃതർ നൽകുന്ന സൂചന....
