QuSol has a fast career growth opportunity for a Developer who can craft innovative websites using PHP, WordPress, Javascript, CSS, HTML and JQuery with a desire to achieve good design, usability, accessibility, performance, and mobile/responsive web pages.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a fast-growing start-up, we look for self-starters who thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment – which means wearing many hats, being able to change direction quickly, and showing an eagerness to learn new technologies as the need arises. In this role you work with a small, collaborative team of engineers, product managers, and designers to build innovative websites, i.e., country websites and a community site. You will use your excellent interpersonal and communication skills, not only to identify gaps and vet the designs for feasibility, but also to help inform the design experience through a technical lens. And most importantly you will use your strong prioritization, multi-tasking, and delivery skills to get things done!
Be prepared to discuss how you have:
• Built outstanding websites from concept to launch (be prepared to share links to sites).
• Developed in PHP for scalability.
• A keen eye for design and visual detail, and strong interest in visual and/or interaction design.
• An abundant desire to achieve perfection, but also a readiness to compromise.
• Passion for doing things the right way.
Job Description:
• 1-5 years’ experience in web development.
• 2+ years’ experience with WordPress, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and JQuery
• Self-motivated with the ability to solve problems
• Experiencing building WordPress themes/plugins
• Understanding of WordPress coding best practices
• Understanding of WordPress Custom Post Types
• Advanced Understanding of the WordPress Core
• WordPress/Programming security best practices
• Ability to be creative and contribute confidently
• Ability to function within a team Environment
• Experience with Git/Mercurial, SQL, XML, JSON and Web Services (XML/JSON)
• Experience with responsive web design and pixel perfect attention to detail.
