The online water tanker management system developed by Transoft Solutions is a unique solution aimed at improving the efficiency and reliability of water distribution in the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation. The system operates on an Uber-style booking model, where users can book their water tanker requirements through a mobile app.
Once the booking is confirmed, a digital pass is generated and sent to the driver's mobile device. The driver can then collect the water tanker at a designated water vending point and deliver it to the customer. The digital pass is scanned at the water vending point to verify the delivery, ensuring a transparent and accountable process.
Service delivery is ensured within one hour, making it a convenient and time-efficient solution for customers. Till date, more than one lakh trips have been completed using this system, demonstrating its effectiveness and popularity among the public.
This innovative solution has earned Thiruvananthapuram Corporation the 2021-22 Best e-Governance Award, acknowledging the company's contribution to improving public services through technology.
