ठाणे ट्रैफिक पुलिस का सूझबूझ भरा फैसला...
#रिवर्स लेन से मुंबई का सफर आसान हुआ
ठाणे: ईस्टर्न एक्सप्रेसवे पर पुल के निर्माण कार्य के चलते मुंबई जाने वाली चार लेन की सड़क दो लेन की रह गई थी, जिससे भारी ट्रैफिक जाम की आशंका थी। आशंका थी कि सुबह के व्यस्त समय में ठाणेवासियों को भारी परेशानी झेलनी पड़ेगी। हालांकि, ठाणे ट्रैफिक पुलिस ने तत्परता, योजना और साहसिक निर्णय लेकर इस समस्या को काफी हद तक काबू में कर लिया है। हालात का बारीकी से अध्ययन करने के बाद, ठाणे पुलिस आयुक्त श्री आशुतोष डुम्बरे और पुलिस उपायुक्त (ट्रैफिक शाखा) श्री पंकज शिरसाठ के मार्गदर्शन में सुबह 7 बजे से 9 बजे के बीच व्यस्त समय में 'रिवर्स लेन' शुरू करने का फैसला किया गया। इसके तहत, मुंबई से ठाणे आने वाली एक लेन को अस्थायी रूप से बंद कर दिया गया और उसे ठाणे से मुंबई जाने वाले वाहनों के लिए खोल दिया गया। इस नए उपाय से मुंबई की ओर जाने वाला ट्रैफिक सुचारू हो गया है। पहले घोड़बंदर, कल्याण और शहर के विभिन्न हिस्सों से आने वाले वाहन एक्सप्रेसवे पर फंस जाते थे। कई लोगों को काम पर पहुंचने में अतिरिक्त समय लगता था। हालांकि, यातायात पुलिस की सटीक योजना के कारण अब चालकों को राहत मिली है। फिर भी, इस प्रयोग को लागू करने में यातायात पुलिस को काफी काम करना पड़ रहा है। सड़क पर खड़े होकर वाहनों को नियंत्रित करना, नागरिकों को सही दिशा दिखाना और अचानक उत्पन्न होने वाली स्थितियों को संभालना। यातायात शाखा के वरिष्ठ पुलिस निरीक्षक दिलीप पाटिल ने बताया कि ये सभी जिम्मेदारियां पूरी सावधानी से निभाई जा रही हैं। ठाणे यातायात शाखा के पुलिस उपायुक्त श्री पंकज शिरसाठ ने कहा, “सुबह के व्यस्त समय में मुंबई की ओर जाने वाले वाहनों के दबाव को ध्यान में रखते हुए रिवर्स लेन बनाने का निर्णय लिया गया था। हमारे अधिकारी और कर्मचारी जमीनी स्तर पर योजना बना रहे हैं ताकि नागरिकों को कम से कम परेशानी हो और यातायात सुचारू रूप से चलता रहे। स्थिति के अनुसार भविष्य में आवश्यक बदलाव किए जाएंगे।” यह प्रयोग केवल ड्यूटी पर तैनात पुलिस अधिकारियों के प्रयासों के कारण ही सफल साबित हो रहा है।

THANE: Police 'Riders' ready to assist 10th & 12th exam candidates.
If a candidate appearing for exams faces any road obstruction while reaching to the exam centre Do contact the Traffic Police Helpline.In the backdrop of the 10th and 12th exams, special facilities have been provided by the Thane City Traffic Department under the guidance of Hon.Police Commissioner Ashutosh Dumbare & Jt.Commissioner Dr.Dnyaneshwar Chavan to ensure that students reach the exam center on time. The traffic police are high alert to help students who are in trouble due to delays,vehicle breakdowns, traffic congestions on the exam day.Accordingly, 54 riders have been deployed on the roads and helpline numbers have been issued to contact 18 traffic units, including the Traffic Control WhatsApp number and Traffic Control Helpline. However, if a you face any road instructions while reaching the exam, you should contact the traffic police helpline, Deputy Commissioner of Traffic; Pankaj Shirsat has appealed. Maharashtra State Secondary (10th) & Higher Secondary (12th) School Leaving Certificate Examinations are starting from February 10 & February 20 respectively. For these examinations, there are a total of 126 centers for Class 12 and a total of 223 centers for Class 10 in Zones 1 to 5 of Thane Police Commissionerate. 54 riders have been kept ready in case of any problem on the roads for the students going to these examination centers. For this,students or parents have made helpline numbers available in the Traffic Control Helpline numbers:8286300300 & 8286400400 of the Transport Department as well as Traffic Control WhatsApp number 7039003866 & 18 Transport Units. Apart from this, three vehicles will also be deployed in the control room.As soon as information is received regarding problems on the roads during the examination period, the Traffic Police will immediately reach the spot & eliminate the traffic obstructions & help the students tune-up to their examination center safely.This facility is available only for the examination period. DCP.Pankaj Shirsat, on behalf of the Transport Department,has appealed to parents as well as citizens to cooperate with this initiative during the exam period.

Thane Welcomes Budget's Focus on Infrastructure - Led Urbanisation.
THANE/MUMBAI :Thane's real estate sector is poised for growth, driven by the Union Budget's emphasis on infrastructure-led urbanisation. Ghodbunder Road:According to the information received at around 19:22 today,a Four - Wheeler caught fire near Kashinath Ghanekar Theatre, Hiranandani Meadows, Manpada, Thane.No injuries reported.
Four-wheeler details:Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Car MH47Q5534 Owned by; Heramb Raj Sonawane. Three people were travelling in the four - wheeler.All three of them had a lucky escape.The fire in the four-wheeler was completely extinguished at the spot with the help of fire brigade personnel.

GB.ROAD:At around 07:45 in the morning, near Gaimukh Octroi Naka at Gaimukh Ghat landing slope, a transit Tata Company container MH 04 KF 0793 owner: unknown, driver: has fled away from the spot Cargo: approx 35 to 40 tons of cement sacks.While this container was approching towards Thane,11 vehicles were on transit towards Borivali in the opposite direction had fatal accident with collision and oil was spilled on the road.As per reports 4 persons have been injured in the fatal accident have been have been hospitalised in the Titan Hospital,Ovala .
Persons:
1) Mr.Shivkumar Yadav (Mr./56 years, rickshaw puller) has suffered a serious head injury.
2) Mr.Taskin Sheikh (M/45 years, was travelling in a rickshaw) has suffered minor injuries to his face.
3) Mr.Rambali Babulal (M/22 years, car driver) has sustained serious injuries to his waist.
4) Mrs.Anita Perwal (M/45 years, was travelling in a rickshaw) has sustained minor injuries to his face. Some passengers who were travelling in other vehicles at the spot also sustained minor injuries and have themselves been taken to other hospitals for treatment in a private vehicle.

Due to the accident, there was a major traffic congestion on both the Thane Ghodbunder Lane for more than 2 hours.All the accident - affected vehicles have been shifted to the side of the road, and Ghodbunder Road has been completely cleared for traffic.
