Each time you Use a Drop Shadow...
Analyse your overall work...
And ask few questions:
-Is this shadow really needed?
-Am I doing it right?
-Do pros really use 100 drop shadows?
-Is the shadow subtle or more obvious?
-Does my work look neat or Untidy
-Should i really break the rules?
-Does my design look cheap?
-Is it a good shadow or just ugly?
NEVER ADD SHADOWS TO TEXT.
Just makes the Design look ugly and cheap.
So stop doing it if you are doing it😖
As time passes, more people will become better at drop shadows and making it subtle and soft and not obvious with a dark looking sharp shadow.
Designers should know analyse both anesthetics & usability of a design.
And thats when the best design work will be out in the Industry.
Now Stop making Ugly Drop Shadows & use the Cheatsheet I gave!
Do you use Drop Shadows often?
Comment.
