As an employee, I would be concerned about the impact of micromanagement on morale, productivity, and work-life balance.

Micromanagement can create a sense of distrust and demotivation among employees, as it implies a lack of faith in their abilities to manage their own work. It can also hinder creativity and innovation, as employees may feel stifled by constant oversight.

What's your thoughts and point of view on it?

Furthermore, requiring employees to work on weekends to match time entries, to give client support, to make an extra efforts can significantly disrupt their work-life balance and lead to burnout. It sends a message that personal time is not valued, which can lead to resentment and disengagement.

"I would suggest to first evaluate the impact on your personal life and work-life balance. If working on Saturday is necessary, I would suggest to first communicate concerns and negotiate fair compensation or time off in lieu."

It's important for management to understand the practicalities and implications of their requests

Overall, micromanagement can erode trust, decrease morale, and ultimately lead to decreased productivity and employee retention. It's important for management to trust their employees, provide them with autonomy, and focus on results rather than constantly monitoring their every move.
