“Delulu is the only Solulu.”
I recently realised that a person in their 40s may need a few seconds to process this. 😂
And then I thought…
Maybe that's exactly how Gen Z feels when we start giving them bookish gyaan.
Communication has a very simple rule:
Speak the language the other person understands.
Speak Hindi in New York and don't blame New York. 😄
We at Red Jinni experienced something similar around 2016.
We started working with someone from the IT industry, and honestly, our conversations felt like two people standing at opposite poles.
It took us almost a year to figure out what was happening.
And slowly, something changed.
Today, instead of saying:
“You should read this book…”
someone at Redjinni or Richa AI might say:
“Have you watched this web series?”
Instead of sending a long explanation, someone forwards a reel or a Short.
Sometimes a business video becomes the reference point for an entire discussion.
And the funny part?
It works.
The message is understood.
The discussion happens.
The learning happens.
Just without the “According to this famous management book…” part. 😂
Maybe that's what has changed.
The knowledge hasn't become less important.
The language of delivering it has changed.
And perhaps that's something worth understanding before we complain that the next generation doesn't understand us.
Maybe they do.
Maybe we just need better subtitles. 😄
