Just a mere smile was enough.
When Lord Vishnu turned capable of beginning to grow the universe while, Maa Kushmanda smiled like a flower which blossomed with a bud. She created the arena from nothing, at the time whilst there was eternal darkness all around. This Avtar of Maa Durga is the source of all. she is called Adiswarup and Adishakti because she created the universe.

May you be rid of the darkness and be the light in someone's life to pave way for happiness and smile!

When Lord Shiva gave in to marry Maa Parvati, he brought ghosts, sages, hermits, and Aghoris to the wedding along with him due to which Maina, her mother, passed out.
In order to to regain her mother's conciousness and protect her parents and guest at the wedding from Lord Shiva's terrifying appearance, Maa Parvati took the form of Chandraghanta and Shiva directly complied to change to his charming appearance.
This was a direct request that Lord Shiva complied with; there was no negotiation involved. As there are no commands or demands in the union of the divine feminine and divine masculine. Each is treated equally and with respect.

During her penance to Lord Shiva, Maa Brahmacharini survived only on fruits and flowers for a thousand years, only herbs for one hundred years and for three thousand years by eating only broken leaves of Bilva Patra. She even stopped eating the leaves and started penance without food and water for the rest of the year until her wish was fulfilled and Lord Shiva accepted her as his consort.
That is one true dedication!!
