What changed in GCC payroll this quarter and is your team ready for it?

1. UAE - Wages now due on the 1st, no grace period, 85% compliance floor. Enforcement starts Day 2 and escalates to travel bans by Day 21.
2. Saudi - New Nitaqat phase targets 340,000+ localized jobs; the Yellow tier is gone, with former Yellow firms dropping straight to Red.
3. Bahrain - WPS 2.0 mandatory; direct salary transfers abolished, all pay via the LMRA portal.
Enforcement that used to take weeks now takes days.
