Android™ is a computing platform designed for use in some smart phones and other devices. This technology, which is owned by Google, Inc., includes an operating system, software, and applications. The operating system is based on Linux®, which provides advanced computer processing. Android™ technology is maintained and continually developed by the Android Open Source Project (AOSP).

History of Android™

Google purchased Android Inc., a 22-month-old Palo Alto, California, startup in July 2005. Android Inc. was co-founded by Andy Rubin, maker of mobile device Danger Inc.™ The purchase was key in Google's move into the wireless technology market. In 2008, Google introduced the HTC Dream™ as the first marketed phone to use Android™ technology. Since that time, this platform use has expanded to other smart phones, tablet computers, E-readers, netbooks, and other devices.

Android™ applications

Although Android™ technology is increasingly being used on a range of devices, the most common hardware to use this platform is mobile phones. A large community of developers regularly write applications (apps), including games, social networking, and business modules, for Android™ smart phones. There are a wide range of free Android™ apps, including games and productivity titles, and paid apps are even more common. Android™ technology — which is used by thousands of developers because it is freely available for download — has given software developers the opportunity to sell their creations to a wide group of consumers.

Intel is the biggest company which is famous for manufacturing the best processors ever created in processors industry. Everytime, they have introduced something interesting and new in their processors devices. They introduced the series of processors in 1940s and till now the advanced version of their processors are still considered as the best. Some of the famous processor are from the latest group of the family 'core'. Intel core is the processors i3 family which is famous for its latest revolutionary structure and integrated architecture which also provide the advantage of the parallel computing. its also wonderful in providing the users with the excellent graphical user interfaces.

Basic Features of the I3

The basic feature of the I3 features are highly improved as compared to previous version of the processor by Intel. Some of the popular and leading features of i3 processors are listed below.
i3 processors offers the perfect accuracy and high performance and response rate which in result provide the users with the high throughput rates, and also reduced time in executing the programs by the processor.
The Intel i3 processor is fully equipped by the latest HD graphics with powerful and advanced video engine that provides smooth high quality display along with the 3d graphics capabilities. On the whole i3 processors can be considered as the high graphical and multi media display processors for daily computing.
Intel i3 processors also provide hyper threading technology to its users which enable the multitasking capability of both user and the system. The systems with i3 processors can perform ex*****on and compilation of two tasks simultaneously without causing the executing delays and debuggers errors. They are so responsive that output of the programs can be generated at the same time too. we can easily say that Intel i3 are the best choice for homes and offices. More than seven applications can run simultaneously on the system with i3 processor built the on motherboards.
i3 processors are smarter, faster and more adaptive in all kinds of networking scheme. They can be used with any of the hard disk configurations.
They are also famous in the markets by the name of desktop processor because of the great quality resolution they have. Integrated components on the motherboards also makes i3 processors unique in their architecture and circuit installations
Featured information
i3 processors have 3.06 gig hertz and 2.93 giga hertz core speed which is very high as compared to the previous configurations of Intel processors. They have four processing threads that enables multithreading and multi tasking. 4 mega byte additional Cache memory is also provided inside the processor. Double channeled DDR with 1333 Mega hertz memory sequence.

More advantages of the I3

i3 processors have remarkable advantages that are of great use in the field of computers and technology. Some of them are listed below.
Dual core processing has the ability to run two independent programs with one hardware.
i3 processors have improved Pentium base, they have totally new architecture with more integrations and high speed performance structure.
Hyper threading technology also enables user to enjoy the high speed and better performance with more reliable outputs. It has 4 tasking threads that allows user to easily execute 3 to 4 programmes at a time.
Smart memory and cache sequence allows user to enjoy the optimized and efficient data access both direct and sequentially. Effective shortcuts have reduced the access time of the file and system.
HD graphical features also make these processors distinguished from the others because they are considered as best in their resolution

What is Dual Core:-

A dual-core processor is a CPU with two processors or "ex*****on cores" in the same integrated circuit. Each processor has its own cache and controller, which enables it to function as efficiently as a single processor. However, because the two processors are linked together, they can perform operations up to twice as fast as a single processor can.

The Intel Core Duo, the AMD X2, and the dual-core PowerPC G5 are all examples of CPUs that use dual-core technologies. These CPUs each combine two processor cores on a single silicon chip. This is different than a "dual processor" configuration, in which two physically separate CPUs work together. However, some high-end machines, such as the PowerPC G5 Quad, use two separate dual-core processors together, providing up to four times the performance of a single processor.

While a dual-core system has twice the processing power of a single-processor machine, it does not always perform twice as fast. This is because the software running on the machine may not be able to take full advantage or both processors. Some operating systems and programs are optimized for multiprocessing, while others are not. Though programs that have been optimized for multiple processors will run especially fast on dual-core systems, most programs will see at least some benefit from multiple processors as well.

Product of the Week: Lenovo 13-Inch IdeaPad Yoga

You'll be seeing a bunch of new products wrapped around Windows 8 that showcase this platform's unique ability to morph from notebook to tablet and back again. These products generally come in two classes -- convertibles and hybrids.

Convertibles transform from a notebook to a tablet but leave the keyboard attached like a current-generation convertible car does with a hard or soft retractable top. Hybrids have a keyboard accessory that they dock with, and that can be removed -- like some of the earlier cars that had T-Tops that you'd store in your trunk when you wanted a top-down experience.

Hybrids tend to be more complex, heavier with the keyboard attached, more expensive with the keyboard -- and you are more likely to leave the keyboard behind. But they are lighter and cheaper without the keyboard, provide a more pure tablet experience, and often have a second battery in the keyboard, doubling battery life.

If you want more of a tablet experience but occasionally want to work on the device, the hybrid is the best choice. If you work more and play less, the convertible is probably for you.

The convertible tablet that initially stands out best is the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga, which uses an innovative hinge that allows the keyboard to fold easily underneath the screen, transforming it into a tablet.

It also comes in that 13-inch size (basically an Ultrabook that can be a tablet) I've highlighted as ideal for work, and a smaller 11.6-ince size that I think most folks will prefer over 10-inch, initially.
