AND GateAs an AND bit requires a minimum of 2 inputs, two relays will be needed. The figure is shown below.AND GATE ImplementationFrom the figure it is clear that if 6 volts it applied to both A and B, youget the output Q=6 volts. For any other combination of A and B, the output will be 0 volts. The same circuit can be changed into an OR Gate by hooking two wires for A and B together. You can also use two relays in parallel.You can also make the circuit fancier by reading the outputs on bulbs. That is, when a HIGH state occurs, LIGHT = ON. When a LOW state occurs, LIGHT = OFF.Thus the three basic Gates NOT, AND and OR can be implemented easily.With the help of the basics above you can easily implement 8-bit ripple carry adders and so on. All these basics are also the basics for the working of computers.

*.SR Flip Flop to JK Flip FlopAs told earlier, J and K will be givenas external inputs to S and R. As shown in the logic diagram below, Sand R will be the outputs of the combinational circuit.The truth tables for the flip flop conversion are given below. The present state is represented by Qp and Qp+1 is the next state to be obtained when the J and K inputs are applied.For two inputs J and K, there will beeight possible combinations. For each combination of J, K and Qp, the corresponding Qp+1 states are found. Qp+1 simply suggests the future values to be obtained by the JK flip flop after the value of Qp. The table is then completed by writing the values of S and R required to get each Qp+1 from thecorresponding Qp. That is, the values of S and R that are required to change the state of the flip flop from Qp to Qp+1 are written.
