ux-yana When you work as an independent freelance designer, or act as an agency owner, sometimes you have to face with client dissatisfaction and consequently, with a number of revision requests.
While doing a quick revision for free is considered to be ok in design business, sometimes the clients request a lot of free work without a clear vision of what they expect to see as a final results. In this case, a freelancer loses time, money, and it brings a lot of stress.
In most cases, client requests a lot of changes not because they're not satisfied with the quality of the design, but because they dont consider you as a top expert in the field.
How to deal with it? Be confident, show your expertise, sell your skills and charge more (I know it sounds weird, but people tend to consider you an expert if you charge more than average price). Also, it is important to build trust by communicating your design solutions: always explain why you have chosen this particular color/font/UX law to use in your design, in this way your client is aware that all your solutions are based on UX rules and industry standards.
Check some tips I use when working with revisions/client satisfaction.
