Most fitness wearables can tell you how you performed. Samsung’s latest patent describes something more active: a wearable exoskeleton that could change the workout while you are doing it. The system uses exercise data such as movement speed, joint angles and muscle signals to estimate performance against a user-defined goal. A neural network can then determine how much torque the wearable should generate, increasing assistance when the user falls short or adjusting resistance as performance changes. Published as US 2026/0284465 A1, the filing points towards a different kind of fitness wearable, where AI helps control the physical effort.
