Mitsubishi Electric India (MEI)- FA Systems recently hosted a focused Knowledge Summit in Mumbai, bringing together Lifesciences, F&B and FMCG machine builders to explore Next-Gen Automation for Smart Machine Builders.

The dialogue opened with MEI FA’s Lifesciences, F&B & FMCG Vertical Head - Jitendra Joshi

Followed by an insightful session by Karan Manocha, Founder – Kashico Consulting Services, a global expert in Pharma/Biopharma EPCM, Automation, C&Q, and Digitalization.

He covered key areas including OEM value enhancement through innovation, premium positioning, evolving compliance requirements, future industry trends, and the role of Digitalization & AI in enabling smarter, secure systems.

We were privileged to host key customers who appreciated the relevance of the theme and depth of insights shared.

We also showcased Automation & Digitalization portfolio—demonstrating how OEMs can build compliant, secure, and data-driven machines, supported by strong collaboration with our System Integrators.

Most conversations about Indian manufacturing talk about the opportunity.

I want to talk about the edges, the uncomfortable questions, the assumptions we haven't challenged, and the decisions that will quietly determine whether India's industrial ambitions become a legacy or just a headline.

Over the past few years, I've been thinking out loud about some of the most consequential questions facing Indian manufacturing. About whether we can afford to treat sustainability as an afterthought when the world is already measuring our carbon footprint. About what it really takes for India to reach its $1 trillion export ambition, and why the answer lies far beyond our traditional industrial corridors. About the intelligence hiding inside factories that already own the data but haven't yet learned to read it. About what quality truly means when global buyers no longer take your word for it, they demand proof.

These aren't rhetorical questions. They are the conversations I've been having for years, on factory floors, in boardrooms, in the cities we haven't yet given enough credit, and with the engineers and decision-makers building this industry from the inside.

At Mitsubishi Electric-FA-INDIA, we've had a front-row seat to how this gap between industrial intent and industrial reality plays out. That perspective is what grounds everything I'm about to share.

Mitsubishi Electric India – FA Systems was proud to be a Bronze Partner at the CII Global Summit & Exposition on Robotics, Drones & Automation held on 27th April 2026, bringing together industry leaders to explore the future of smart manufacturing and automation.

The summit commenced with an address by Sameer Gadhi,Chairman of the CII National Committee. Followed by a compelling panel discussion on “Smart Automation in Manufacturing: The Next Efficiency Leap”, featuring insights from leading organizations including FANUC India, Apollo Tyres, 3M India, and others.

Key discussions at the event highlighted:
• Data utilization in automation: Turning information into action
• Strengthening healthcare infrastructure through robotics and automation
• Enhancing defense and non-defense capabilities through drone technologies
• IT-IoT integration in robotics and automation

At the event, we demonstrated the RH-3FRH3515 Robot for a mobile phone gluing application, which drew significant interest and positive engagement from visitors and industry experts.
