The new world of Automation which may be the game changer in the IT industry and I would say it would be paradigm shift in the way we are working now. This change would be coming in big way and technology will become redundant in coming days. In fact we can see those changes in IT industry. Let’s evolve and increase our competency to abreast with market changes in terms of Automation. Robotic process automation (RPA) as any capability (software and services) that allows you to transact in any IT application or website, typically in the same way a human would operate, to automate complex, rule-based work. In other words, RPA software allows developers to tailor complex automations to processes which would enable the organizations for better business results. When an RPA robot is at work, it performs tasks just like a human would: logging in, operating applications, entering data, performing complex calculations and logging out. Robotic Process Automation is used by large organizations to cut down time and effort (and thereby reducing cost) while improving quality of delivery. Therefore, people who are suitable for RPA are the people who can look at the Business Process in detail with a critical eye and visualize what can be done better. It helps to know the tools and their capabilities. RPA needs a lot of detailing to understand the process operations that are performed subconsciously by a human being. Attention to detail and questioning techniques come into picture here to extract lot of information from the current user to be able to define the operation correctly and completely. There is a great potential with RPA and it will grow at the 35 % CAGR by 2020. The way top-tier companies such as Google and Aviva embrace change. This implies 75% of the business processes will be automated in the near future and many developers would probably transition to automation developers to keep up with the evolving technology. Its pleasure that you are reading this letter and I wish I can help, contribute and enhance your journey towards RoboticsProcess Automation, It’s my years on experience tells me there are many types of jobs will be created in the near future. You are the one among your peers, now ready with skill set to start your RPA job with more confidence.

Starting automation in 2026? The hardest part is not learning. It is knowing what to learn NEXT.

Most people watch tutorials in a random order and six weeks later cannot tell if they are making progress. Not a talent problem. A sequence problem.

The order that actually works:

1. Platform and data foundations. Everything sits on this.
2. Cloud flows. Your first real wins, fast.
3. Desktop automation. Classic RPA thinking.
4. AI Builder. Intelligence on top of what you can already build.
5. Agents and Copilot Studio. Only makes sense once the layers below are solid.

Most people start at step 5 because it is exciting, then get lost.

The interview question where most candidates go quiet.

"How do you test something that does not behave the same way twice?"

With deterministic automation, testing is simple. Same input, same output.

With an AI agent, the same input can produce a differently worded answer every time. So what does passing even mean?

A strong answer covers:

Testing behaviour, not exact output
An evaluation set of realistic inputs
Did it stay in scope and use the right tool
Confidence thresholds and what happens below them
Monitoring in production
Where a human stays in the loop

Anyone can demo an agent that works once. Being trusted to put one in production is a different skill.

Automation interviews have changed.

Knowing the tool is no longer enough. Companies want to know if you can think like an automation professional.

Instead of just asking “Can you build this flow?”, interviewers are now asking:

What automation would you NOT build and why?
What would you do if it failed at 2 AM?
Where would you keep a human in the loop?
How would you explain the solution to the finance team?

These questions test judgment, production experience, risk awareness, and communication not just technical skills.

The biggest shift?
They assume you can build. Now they want to know if you know what to build, when to build it, and when NOT to.

Save this reel if you’re preparing for your next RPA, Automation, or AI interview.

Your resume is being rejected in six seconds. It is not your skills.

The four problems I see again and again:

A tool list with no evidence. A tool list is a claim. A project is proof.

Responsibilities instead of outcomes. "Worked on automation projects" says nothing. "Built an invoice flow that cut approval time from six days to one" says everything.

No numbers. They do not need to be impressive. They need to be real.

A generic objective at the top. Every reviewer skips it. Use that space for what you build.

The fix takes one evening.

AI vs RPA. The question everyone asks, answered properly.

RPA is precision.
Follows exact steps. Same way every time. Reliable, auditable, predictable. Perfect when the rule is clear and the process is stable.

AI is judgment.
Reads context. Handles unstructured mess. Decides when the input does not match yesterday’s pattern.

The mistake? Treating it as a choice.

Invoice processing: reading 40 different layouts is a judgment problem, so AI does it. Posting values to the ERP correctly every time is a precision problem, so a flow does it.

One solution. Both approaches.

73% of employers plan to accelerate automation between 2025 and 2030.

Source: World Economic Forum, Future of Jobs Report.

What that actually means for you:

Tool knowledge stops being a differentiator. Plenty of people can build a flow.

Far fewer can look at a messy real process and say what should be automated, what should be fixed first, and what should be left alone.

Governance becomes a real skill. When an organisation runs hundreds of automations, someone has to own permissions, failures and audit trails. Not glamorous. Very well paid.

Do not just learn to build. Learn to decide.
