Sharjah is looking at a very different answer to Khor Fakkan’s land shortage: the mountain itself.

A study is underway to explore levelling the summit of Al Aween Mountain and developing a new residential district on the site.

There’s no confirmed project scope or timeline yet, but the proposal highlights a growing GCC construction reality — as available land becomes limited, developers and planners are looking at increasingly unconventional ways to create space.
