The Government of India has warned about a large-scale against individuals and businesses, where attackers may use COVID-19 as a key point to steal private and monetary information.
The Campaign is anticipated to start on June 21, 2020, with cyber attackers the usage of email id’s such as "[email protected]", is added. Such emails are designed to pressure recipients towards fake web sites in which they are deceived into downloading malicious documents or entering personal and economic information," Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) stated in its modern-day advisory dated June 19. The advisory stated that the "Hackers" are claiming to have 2 million individual/citizen email id’s and are making plans to Blast an email with the Subject line: unfastened COVID-19 trying out for all India.
CERT-In has asked users to encrypt and defend their sensitive documents to avoid ability leakage/data theft.
Safety Guidelines:
• Do not open attachments in unsolicited e-mails
• Beware about phishing domain, spelling errors in emails,
websites, and unfamiliar email senders
• Do not submit personal information or financial
information to unknown and unfamiliar websites.
• Do not click on unsolicited links
• Beware of clicking from phishing URLs providing special
offers like winning prize, rewards, cashback offers.
