Mr.Somu Rao is the founder and president of the Goa Science Forum.He is a former National Secretary of The Federation of Indian Rationalist Associations which has 87 organizations from different states and is a Member of the Indian Committee for Scientific Investigation of Claims of The Paranormal. He is associated with Vigyan Prasar, NCSTC, Dept.of Science and Technology, New Delhi. and many Humanist and Environmental groups and founder of Trainers Association. He has conducted more than 1000 lectures and demonstrations on Scientific Temper in Goa and other states in India.

Mrs. Marietta Rodrigues, M.Phil Psychology, is presently working as school counselor at Sharada Mandir School, Panaji-Goa. She has previously worked as Cilinical Psychologist for the Indian Navy at the 'INHS ASVINI' base Hospital, Mumbai. She has also worked as the Psychiatric Medico Social Counselor at the Mormugao Port Trust Hospital. She was a faculty at Saint Xavier's College, Department of Psychology and a visiting faculty at Nirmala Institute of Education, Altinho-Goa.

Introducing the 2nd speaker for TEDx GEC, Mr. Gaurav Padte.

Mr. Gaurav Padte is currently studying MA(English) in Goa University. He is a social activist and regularly feeds the poor and homeless people across the state of Goa. Gaurav is also the mascot (Gaurdinho) of Goa's ISL team: FC GOA. He has been featured in leading tabloids of the states and has been mentioned by top government officials as well as the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri. Narendra Modi in social media for his clean-up work at P.J.N Stadium, Fatorda.

Introducing the 1st speaker, Ms. Kanan Tandi at TEDx GEC.

Ms.Kanan Tandi is a Certified Trainer and Certified Practicioner from Center for Body Language. She has obtained her MBA in Communication Management from Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication. She trains professionals from various industries and backgrounds including CISF and NISA officers.
