TOPIC = INTRODUCTION TO NETWORK:
a. What is Network?
a. Network is a collection of multiple network devices via any medium is called network.
b. Networking?
b. Networking is a process of communication/ Transmission of data between devices is called Networking.
And the process of exchange the information between two devices is called Networking Process.
c. Internet working?
c. Connection more than two network is know as Internet Working.
d. Advantages of network & networking?
d. Network admin can share resources over a LAN or WAN share printer , file folder or data.
e. What is point - to - point and server - client model?
e. P2P Model - In this model only two devices are connected to each other is know as P2P model.
Server - client model - A client and server networking model is a model in which computers such as server provide the network services to the other computers such as clients to perform a user based tasks.
f. What is computer network? Types of computer network?
f. A computer network is a group of computers that use a set of common communication protocols over digital interconnection for the purpose of sharing resources located on or provided by the network nodes.
Ex- LAN , MAN , WAN , CAN , PAN.
g. What is client operating system?
g. A client operating system is a computer OS that runs on desktop computer and other portable devices like laptops and smartphones. It may handle different hardware components connected to it , such as printer's , monitor's and camera's. These OSs supports a single user at a time. A client operating system may use a server operating system to acquire services. Furthermore , when compared to server operating system , client operating system offer multiprocessing capacity at a low cost. Client OS includes windows , Mac , Android , etc.
FEATURES OF CLIENT OPERATING SYSTEM:
1. It provides support to a single user at a time.
2. It runs on desktop system and portable devices.
3. Some client operating system are windows , Mac , etc.
h. What is Server Operating System?
h. A server operating system is an OS that runs on server. It is more advanced version of an OS with more efficient features and capabilities for providing serval services to other devices or client machines that are connected to it.
There are services for software , advanced hardware , and network configuration. These operating systems help install and use business and online web applications. They can also manage and monitor the client devices connected to them. The operation system commands initiate most processes in server operating systems. Furthermore , server OS carries out other administrative processes.
There are various OS server system. Web server operating system offer web resources like web pages according to the client's requests. Similarly , server operating system deliver service to client computers , Database server operating system manage database , whereas file server operating system serve files to connected devices.
FEATURES OF SERVER OPERATING SYSTEM:
1. It may access the server both in GUI and CLI.
2. It controls and monitors client computers and operating systems.
3. It installs and uses web applications and business applications.
4. It helps to execute most processes from the OS commands.
5. It offers a central interface for managing users , implementing security , and performing other administrative tasks.
