In April my own automation paused 510 keywords overnight — including my best sellers 📉
Impressions fell off a cliff. And it was my fault.
Not a bug. I'd set the bid-decrease limit to 50% per run. Way too aggressive. The logic did exactly what I told it to — the limits were wrong.
The only reason I caught it fast: every action is written to a ledger with before/after values. I could see exactly what was paused, when, and reverse it. A black-box tool would've left me guessing for weeks.
What changed → decrease limits now default to single digits, and every limit sits in one Guardrail Policy you control.
The lesson the whole product is built on:
Guardrails aren't a feature. They're the product.
Sharing this because most tools only show you the wins. If you're trusting software with your ad spend, you should see how it behaves when something breaks.
