Most people assume emergency lighting requires complex external generators or heavy battery backups to handle sudden power outages. In reality, an inverter light bulb integrates an LED driver, a high-efficiency rechargeable battery, and an automatic power-sensing circuit directly into a single, compact fixture.
During normal grid operation, the internal driver converts AC mains power to low-voltage DC to power the LEDs while a dedicated charging system simultaneously tops off the battery. The moment grid power drops, internal micro-circuits detect the interruption in current within milliseconds, disconnecting from the grid and instantly switching the power source.
When the wall switch remains ON, the bulb automatically uses stored battery power to deliver 3 to 4 hours of continuous, flicker-free light without delay, manual action or extra wiring.
