If your business works with automotive wiring, here's something worth knowing. π
FLRY and AVSS are both automotive-grade wires used in vehicle harnesses β but they serve very different environments.
FLRY πΆ (German standard)
Designed for interior zones β dashboard, door wiring, instruments. Lightweight and flexible. Used widely by European OEMs.
AVSS π· (Japanese standard)
Built for higher heat β engine-adjacent areas, under-hood wiring. Better sustained heat resistance. Preferred by Japanese and Indian OEMs.
Where it goes wrong: FLRY in a high-heat zone degrades slowly over time β leading to intermittent faults that are expensive and time-consuming to diagnose.
At Griptronics, we manufacture both FLRY and AVSS wires β from our own copper, drawn in-house from 8mm rod. Domestic supply. Consistent quality. Full spec flexibility.
If you're sourcing automotive wire and want a reliable Indian manufacturer β message us directly.
