RCAI Class 3 Certificate for Individuals with Organisation Name
The new RCAI Class 3 Certificate for Individuals with Organisation Name is a Unique Digital Signature Certificates product, which permits the certificate holder to have his Organisation Name Published in his personal certificate. In order to purchase this certificate, the applicant must personally present himself before an authority approved by SafeScrypt who will identify the applicant on behalf of SafeScrypt. The identification will be based on, at a minimum, a well recognized form of government-issued photo identitification and one other identification credential. The applicant must also provide documentation to prove the validity of the organisation he is employed with and his employment status with that organisation. SafeScrypt reserves the right to decide which specific forms of identification would be acceptable for validation. One of the pre-requisites of a user is Digital Signature Certificate (DSC), obtained from a licensed Certifying Authority (CA) like SafeScrypt. A DSC is required to digitally sign electronic forms. Certifying Authorities in India are licensed under the Indian Information Technology Act (IT Act 2000) to issue DSCs. A Digital Signature affixed via a DSC is recognized by the Indian IT Act which is equivalent to a physical signature. What is DGS&D CERT? DGS&D CERT is a Digital Signature Certificate that is equivalent to a digital identity, which helps to uniquely identify you to the DGS&D portal on the Internet. You simply need to plug the token into the USB port of your computer and perform your signing operation.
2. Northern Railway Vendors e-Procurement – Northern Railway
Northern RailwayNorthern Railway’s EPS Software Provider has tied-up with SafeScrypt Limited to provide Digital Signature Certificates to the Vendors of Northern Railways. To facilitate e-Procurement, Northern Railway is enabling Digital Signature Certificates based access for its Vendors. The Vendors using the Digital Signature Certificates issued by SafeScrypt will access the e-Procurement Portal to participate in e-procurement. The participation in e-Procurement through Northern Railway’s website, will be limited to Vendors who have acquired a Digital Signature Certificate as per the Indian IT Act 2000. To interact with the e-Procurement portal of Northern Railway, Vendors will require possessing a legally valid Digital Signature Certificates from SafeScrypt. 3. ONGC
ONGCOil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has rolled out its e-procurement initiative for its global vendor community, a first-of-its-kind initiative in India. To participate in the e-tendering process, every vendor is required to use a Class 3 Digital Signature Certificate from a Certifying Authority (CA) in India licensed by the Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA) under the Indian IT Act 2000. SafeScrypt, an affiliate of VeriSign (NASDAQ: VRSN) in India, is India’s first Licensed Certifying Authority. It is SafeScrypt’s privilege to be associated with ONGC in this prestigious initiative – both as the PKI technology enabler of ONGC’s e-procurement application as well as a provider of legally valid Digital Signature Certificates to ONGC employees and vendors. The participating vendor would use these digital signature certificates to digitally sign documents (such as Price Bid and Unpriced Technical Bids) and submit them online to ONGC as responses to the tenders published online.
4. IFFCO
IFFCOTo improve efficiency and transparency in procurement process, IFFCO has launched its e-Procurement Initiative – a Web based electronic Procurement system. The system is designed in such a manner that IFFCO vendors can submit bids online using Digital Signature Certificatess. For participation in e-Procurement on IFFCO’s website, a vendor would be required to obtain a Digital Signature Certificate as per the Indian IT Act 2000 from a licensed Certifying Authority like SafeScrypt. The type of Certificate from SafeScrypt approved by IFFCO for its e-procurement process is a RCAI Class 3 for Individuals with Organisation Name.
5. AIR INDIA
Air IndiaMaterials Management Department, Air India has implemented Oracle based ERP system for procurement and inventory control. Air India intends to activate its E-Procurement module for Non-Aviation products and services. For participation in the e-procurement, it is necessary to obtain Class 3 (WITH ORG NAME) Digital Signature Certificates authorized by Controller of Certifying Authorities under Government of India IT Act 2000. Digital Signature Certificatess shall be used to access the website and authenticate the Vendors. All those who are interested in doing business with AIR INDIA should obtain the Digital Signature Certificatess and submit the same to AIR INDIA. The participation in e-Procurement through Air India website will be limited to Vendors who have acquired a Digital Signature Certificate as per the Indian IT Act 2000. 6. CPWD-LOGOThe Central Public Works Department (CPWD), is the principal agency of the Government of India for creation and maintenance of all Central Government assets excluding those belonging to Railways, Defence, Communication, Atomic Energy, Airports (National and International) and All India Radio.
