Wi-Fi 7 is the new standard. That does not make it the right upgrade for your factory this year.

What decides it is what runs on the network. If you are bringing in autonomous robots, machine vision or a dense IoT rollout, Wi-Fi 7's redundancy and clean 6 GHz spectrum earn their cost. If your scanners are all Wi-Fi 6 and the network is healthy, you can wait.

And one number to know: the multi-gig switch a Wi-Fi 7 access point needs can cost more than the access point itself. The upgrade is a switching project too.

A single broken link should not stop a production line. In many Indian factories, it still does.
