The Institution provides leadership in scientific and technical areas of direct importance to the national development and economy. Government of India has recognised IETE as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) and also notified as an educational Institution of national eminence. The objectives of IETE focus on advancing electro-technology. The IETE conducts and sponsors technical meetings, conferences, symposia, and exhibitions all over India, publishes technical journals and provides continuing education as well as career advancement opportunities to its members. Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a proven technology that lets anyone place phone calls over an internet connection.
People enjoy using VoIP phone service over traditional phone lines because It offers many more capabilities than analog phones, And it can do it all for less than half the cost.

Voice over IP uses Internet Protocol, an essential building block of the internet. IP telephony is a massive innovation from the century-old telecommunications system.

In four steps, here's how VoIP works.

• Your phone connects to your switch or router in your Local Area Network (LAN).

• When you dial a telephone number, your IP phone tells your VoIP service provider to call the other party.

• Your VoIP service establishes the call and exchanges data packets from your IP phone.

• Your VoIP phone converts these digital signals back into the sound you can hear.

Unmanned Submarine Hunter

More and more countries are deploying ultraquiet submarines that can lurk undetected close to shore. That prospect worries defense officials, who are looking to one of DARPA’s larger projects, the Anti-Submarine Warfare Continuous Trail Unmanned Vessel (ACTUV), also known as Sea Hunter.

Think of it as a water-based drone that can hunt submarines for months at a time without anyone having to change watches, at least aboard the vessel. Equipped with sonar, radar and other synthetic vision systems, the ACTUV will be able to move through narrow channels and shipping traffic autonomously.

DevOps is a workflow strategy that emphasizes collaboration between development and operations at a company, usually related to software development. The concept of DevOps is related to agile methodology, focusing on optimizing success by integrating the work of software developers and IT professionals. Successful DevOps management has several key goals:

-Reliable IT troubleshooting techniques
-Consistent internal and external methods
-Improved automation
-Reduced glitches and software failures

How DevOps Works:-

Under a DevOps model, development and operations teams are no longer “siloed.” Sometimes, these two teams are merged into a single team where the engineers work across the entire application lifecycle, from development and test to deployment to operations, and develop a range of skills not limited to a single function.

In some DevOps models, quality assurance and security teams may also become more tightly integrated with development and operations and throughout the application lifecycle. When security is the focus of everyone on a DevOps team, this is sometimes referred to as DevSecOps.
These teams use practices to automate processes that historically have been manual and slow. They use a technology stack and tooling which help them operate and evolve applications quickly and reliably. These tools also help engineers independently accomplish tasks (for example, deploying code or provisioning infrastructure) that normally would have required help from other teams, and this further increases a team’s velocity.
