Duties & Responsibilities

Incumbents will be responsible for writing industry standard code to develop software solutions for global clientele
Role comes with an opportunity to design & develop software systems to solve business problems
Candidate may be expected to detail out the design & architecture carved out by senior technologists
Candidate should be able to independently articulate and present the points across (both verbal & written) to the team
Exposure to different technology stacks, problem statements and great learning experience is probably the best offering of the role

Work Experience & Skills

1- 3 years of total development experience on real world web applications
1-year hands on experience on client-side framework React JS is mandatory
Prior experience of write high-quality code for software modules adhering to industry standards
Real-world development experience working on web applications or backend platforms is must

Software products are prone to be engineered with cruft that make it harder to alter or extend them. Technical Debt is a metaphor, coined by Ward Cunningham, that frames how to think about dealing with cruft, thinking of it like a financial debt. The extra effort that it takes to add new features is the interest paid on the debt.

Technical debts are useful to address the ex*****on issues like skill gap, resource deficiency, bad code inheritance, quick go-to-market due to competitive pressures in short term. Remember, technology is an enabler and the real value is in users benefitting from finished product (even if its with cruft!). But repaying the debt immediately after product shipment is eminent to make the system healthy and not a death trap. If used wisely & sparingly technical debt could become an asset and if used recklessly they are your worst liabilities.

Technical debt is a concept in software development that reflects the implied cost of additional rework caused by choosing an easy solution now instead of using a better approach that would take longer.

Microservices has been a popular design pattern for the last few years as an alternative design philosophy to break the rigidity of monolithic design. Over the years, applications have been built as monolithic design with relational data model persisted using common application schema to the underlying data stores such Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB etc. Since databases store the data on the disk and make it available on demand, they have been a popular way to integrate two functions. One function leaves the entries in the database and the other picks it from there. Since both functions share the data schema, while reengineering the monolithic application into microservices, one the most dreadful conundrum is to split the data model by the microservices.
