Today i will tell you what android actually is

Android is not an operating system (OS)

Android is a Mobile Platform which consists of :

1)Operating System(os)

2)Middle Ware

3)Some Key applications

I Will Justify my statement with help of architecture

Let us take PC for example which consist of two layer 1 is software component and 2 is hardware component their is middle layer between software and hardware component that is nothing but Operating System.Operating System is an Abstraction between software and hardware component.

Android is also a kind of electronic device which contain software and hardware component and abstraction between them is operating system and in android Operating System is The Linux Kernel.

Linux Kernel is an Operating System in android

Application Framework,Libraries,Android Runtime this all are called as middleware

Application block are called as Key Applications.

So,Remember android is not an operating system and android is not an Programming Language, it an mobile platform which consist of OS,Middle ware,Some Key Application.
