𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁.

Addressable fire panels get specified for two reasons: the area under protection is large, and the installation is mission critical. Both of those change what the power supply has to do:

🔹 The DC load goes up, because there’s more area to cover

🔹 The backup duration goes up, which pushes the design engineer toward a higher AH battery

🔹 Remote signalling becomes mandatory, because nobody is standing next to the panel
