Guys, Internet needs your help... (Please take out little time to save internet. Last date till you can help is 24 April 2015. This is very serious issue. You can change The Internet)
Don't know what I am saying?
Here's what you need to know:
TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) wants to allow SIM Card companies (Vodafone, Airtel, etc.) to charge you differently for different websites which the companies themselves have requested. This is very similar to the TV set top box channels. You pay for each channel differently.
Let us take it this way, after TRAI allows companies to do that, you will have to pay differently for Facebook, Gmail, Twitter, Whatsapp, Flipkart, Amazon and other websites and internet based mobile applications.
This type of system will violate Net Neutrality. That is, companies will decide which website you visit.
So what is Net Neutrality? This is a little complex subject, I request you to PLEASE take a look at this YouTube video for better clarity https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfY1NKrzqi0
This is literary threat to Indian Internet Users.
What can you do to ? Yes, your few clicks can help save the internet.
